Amazing how a short time can change things, but the thing that puzzles me is that I presumed that was already known or at least expected, assuming you are referring to the recent allegations about racism in the royal family and not something else that I missed.

I mean, maybe re: Philip, but I don't think anybody ever thought it went as far as Elizabeth herself. (And yes, I'm indeed referring to said allegations.)

It's funny because Elizabeth's political beliefs, to the extent that she's allowed to have any, are generally thought to be non- or anti-racist (strong commitment to the Commonwealth, etc.). But of course there are tons of personally racist people with non-racist public commitments, and vice versa.

I voted for Victoria because I like the aesthetics of the late nineteenth century.
