The Biden-Harris administration is riddled with scandals, and the Democratic Party tries to find someone popular. They find Mark Wahlberg, an actor who could surely appeal to people. He gets the whole “liberal elite” attack, but it doesn’t hurt him much. He wins the 2024 Presidential Election.

The democrats in 2022 remove the “you must be born in us or have a parent who has us citizenship” thing for presidential eligibility. Jackie Chan runs as a joke, he gets lots of write in votes as an independent and flips a few states. 2024 goes to the house. Jackie Chan is selected as the next president.

Spencer Cox

DeSantis wins, picks Cox as Agriculture Secretary. DeSantis has a serious health issue, and refused to become president. Vice President elect Haley also has some problems, and it goes down the line until the electors finally elect Spencer Cox

Is this how it works? I wouldn't have thought this could happen until Cox was confirmed. Unless you mean electors as in the EC who all decided to vote for Cox.
Your correct, the cabinet probably wouldn’t have been confirmed.....
Let’s just go with the EC voting for Cox scenario

Continue the Chain,

To build up support from the internet, Biden creates the secretary of the internet, and goes to Atlas for his nominee. When choosing someone else, OC is accidentally confused for that person, and although Biden tries to stop it, OC is confirmed, and Biden has busier matters on hand. He wins re-election, but is revealed to have used election fraud after Congress certifies the results. Everyone in his administration was involved and resigns, except OC. He is inaugurated, but is later impeached and convicted in a week.

         EmpLemon
Biden means to nominate someone totally different to be Deputy Assistant Secretary of Agriculture. A Biden Staffer, who helps Biden nominate people to the senate, is a member of TalkElections. He purposely misspells the intended persons name, and puts “UmpLemon is the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Agriculture.” He gets confirmed by the senate, and is a good Deputy Assistant.  He is nominated to be Secretary of Agriculture after Vilsack retires in 2023. Somehow some people blow up the capital on Biden’s second inauguration, but UmpLemon was chosen to be designated survivor. He becomes president.

Wins the NC Senate race against Erica Smith in a hotly contested race. Trump dies in mid 2023 before making an official endorsement and DeSantis loses in 2022 to Debbie Wasserman in a massive upset in a R friendly year. McCrory faces a split primary and ends up winning a plurality of the primary electorate. Biden dies of a stroke in early 2024 and Harris runs and chooses AOC as her VP candidate, McCrory narrowly wins the PV and the election.

Brian John
(that was just an example)

Ok then.

In an ironic twist of fate, Welsh scientist and alt-history fiction writer Dr. Brian John is found to be the illegitimate child of Lyndon Johnson, providing him with natural-born American citizenship.

Using the media frenzy around his revealed parenthood to gain notoriety, John becomes a fixture on cable news, and quickly becomes a favourite of the left thanks to his plain-spoken ways and lilting Welsh accent.

To woo the Democratic base, John pivots to the environment, and uses his Doctorate in Geographical Studies (specialising in glaciers and the ice age) to put focus on climate change.

This is thought to damage his general election chances, but after a freak tsunami puts Miami underwater, the American public becomes convinced they need an ecologically minded President.

I didn’t know that was an actual person lol

McAfee is endorsed by Trump after Trump is forced to step back due to health issues. Charges against McAfee are suspiciously dropped, some saying that a number of figures involved in the case were bribed. Saying the "deep state" is against him, McAfee has the base whipped into a frenzy and clears the field. Meanwhile Democrats have a contentious primary after Biden also steps out due to health issues. Harris emerges the winner, but scars from the primary and a bad campaign by Harris narrowly give the win to McAfee.

Wahsayah Whitebird

Wahsayh  Whitebird is the Communist Party Nominee. Somehow, Biden, Trump, Hawkins, Jorgensen and every other candidate die mysteriously. They all get some candidate, but since Wahsayh is the only one who is known to be alive, he wins the presidency. (This is the craziest thing I have ever written)

Kind of the same for most democrats; runs as a dark horse candidate and primaries Harris after she runs a terrible campaign. Then goes on to beat a bad Republican candidate.

Booooooring!

Comey runs as an independent, since it's a rematch of the 2016 Election, and both Clinton and Trump demand that Comey should be sent to jail. Comey runs with the endorsements of every famous, respectable, and beloved figures imaginable, and is able to win, and is inaugurated.

  Doug Walker

Doug Walker runs in character as the Nostalgia Critic (Party Unknown) against an in character Stephen Colbert (Republicans) and Al Franken (Democrats), and wins.

The Country loses.

Jill Biden
Kamala Harris has a huge scandal before the 2024 D nomination. Harris doesn’t run. Buttigieg has no interest in running. The D field is lackluster. Jill Biden is forced into the field as the best candidate. The Rs run Mike Lee and lose by a decent margin.

Beyonce announces she's running, clears the field, and wins a 50 state sweep with 65% of the vote.

Roy Barnes
Jon Ossoff suddenly dies unexpectedly in 2023. Governor Stacy Abrams looks for a replacement that won’t run again. Roy Barnes was old, but he’d be fine she thought. Roy Barnes gets appointed to the senate. Biden, Harris and the entire presidential cabinet also suddenly die. As there is no protocols for what to do when this happens, Roy Barnes is selected as president and serves until 2029.

Somehow Jesus comes back to earth and reveals Susanna Martinez is a child of gods, this causes everyone to forget how bad a governor she was, she runs in 2024 and wins a 50 state sweep, and then her inauguration is considered a holy event.

Tara Reade
Tara Reade’s allegations are proven, and she becomes a celebrity and popular with the #MeToo. Ovement. Biden runs for a second term, but Tara Reade primaries him. She wins against the R nominee, Marco Rubio.

Biden and Harris both either don't or can't run. Kelly unexpectedly launches a campaign, running as a Democrat and portraying himself as "the super-rich guy who's going to stop the super-rich from getting richer." There is skepticism at first because of what happened the last time the country elected a businessman with no political experience, but the nation slowly warms up to him, and he wins the election against a Generic R, with a surprising level of support from business types and fiscal conservatives, because they believe he is going to do a Trump and move to the right economically after being elected.

Maggie Toulouse Oliver
Michelle Lujan Grisham unexpectedly decides to retire in 2022. The Lieutenant Governor declines to run. Oliver runs, and wins the primary. She wins the Governor General election over Mark Ronchetti. Suddenly, a virus comes around on mid 2023 called the “@“@‘akaakaiaiakzmznxhxhsh=8virus. Many state governors can’t handle it, and Biden and Harris succumb to the deadly virus. Because of how well Oliver handles it, she becomes a rising star and wins the 2024 D Primary over Pete Buttigieg. She wins the general election over  Mike Lee.

Youngkin wins the VA Gov in 2021, due to T-Mac having corruption and sexual assault charges on him, along with a red wave. He wins the GOP Nomination in 2024 after it is revealed Youngkin is Trump's long lost brother, and endorses him. He defeats a Pelosi/Schumer ticket, and is inaugurated.

Due to Disney going into God mode, as well as Dems and Repubs run William Jefferson and Duncan Hunter. The head wins with memes and is inaugurated.

Cal Cunningham

Cal Cunningham is able to bring up scandals about McMaster, and polls verry well in the gov race. He ends up narrowly winning. Biden dies of a stroke, Harris becomes president and appoints Cunningham VP. Harris decides not to run because of some health problem. Cunningham wins the nom and wins the presidency over Kristi Noem.

Shaked gains name recognition as the crisis progresses which causes her to be hailed as a hero, Congress even amends the constitution just so she can run, Biden does not run for re-election due to low approvals and she defeats Harris by a landslide.

Mario Draghi
Draghi, after taking a DNA test for the fun of it, finds out he was born in the US. News channels cover it extensively, and he gets tons of publicity for it. He enters into US politics, in a time when divisiveness was everywhere. He runs as an independent, and wins over Harris and Mike Lee.

Biden is too sick to run again, so Harris runs but polls horribly with Latinos. Deb Haaland then jumps in and polls much better with Latinos, so she is considered a more electable candidate and wins the primary and general election.

Deborah Kerr
Somehow it is discovered that she is still alive and well, and she didn’t really die in 2007. Using this new found publicity, she launches a bid for President and is able to win the D primary. She goes on to defeat Ron DeSantis.

Castro runs for Governor of Texas, and defeats Greg Abbott and Matthew McCounaghey in a three-way race. After Biden announces he will retire, Castro enters the primaries, and defeats Kamala Harris for the nomination, by winning in Nevada and in the majority of states on Super Tuesday, ultimately winning the majority of superdelegates in a contested convention, because they aren't convinced Harris can win in November.

Castro defeats Donald Trump in the General Election.

Mike Huckabee
He makes a bid for the presidency in 2024 after DeSantis loses in 2022, Noem is paralyzed in a car crash, and Hawley declines for run. Huckabee embraces Trump, and wins the nomination. He wins over Pete Buttigieg

Chris Pappas becomes more progressive in order to primary Maggie Hassan. He runs an unapologetically progressive campaign along with several others in other states and four Democratic Senators lose their  primaries. All the progressives go on to win the general elections and Dems keep control of both houses of Congress. After the most progressive Representatives do everything they can to undermine the administration, but Pappas uses this to appeal to moderates as well. He primaries Harris on this basis and wins the general.

Roger Stone
The democratic nominee is Wahsayh Whitebird and Roger Stone becomes the R nominee in 2024 and wins the election.

Kristi Noem's attempt to override the recreational marijuana referenda from 2020 is successful. Local activists managed to paint her as antidemocratic, and when combined with a series of stumbles as governor, her local popularity tumbles.

Stephanie Herseth Sandlin, as the last Democratic member of the US House from South Dakota, Noem's predecessor, senses weakness. She launches a campaign for Governor in 2022, and manages to beat Noem 50.1% to 49.9%, becoming the first Democrat to become Governor of South Dakota since the 1974 race.

Gov. Herseth Sandlin's win is the only silver lining on an otherwise disastrous midterm for the Democrats, and the party panics. Biden, sensing a tough race, decides to retire.

The 2024 primary ends up wide open, and Gov. Herseth Sandlin makes the case that she's the best placed to reach out to the parts of America that feel abandoned by the Democratic Party.

Herseth Sandlin wins the primary and beats the GOP ticket in a close race.

*

Melinda Gates

Joe Biden decides not to seek reelection leaving an open in the democratic primaries. Kamala Harris runs as the Biden continuation. The economic recovery slows in 2023 with high inflation. Melinda Gates decides to run a high tech economic focused campaign. On a change theme and revival platform she narrowly beats Harris in the primary. She goes on to beat Ted Cruz and his running mate Marjorie Taylor Greene in the general election.

Hillary Clinton-
Biden’s presidency doesn’t go well, and Harris isn’t that popular. The republicans chose Trump. The democrats want someone with experience fighting Trump, and that person is Hillary Clinton. She runs, and clears the field in the D primary except for a few progressives. She wins the primary, and the presidency over Trump.

She wins the 2022 Iowa senate election in a major upset against Steve King. She then runs in the 2024 primary against Biden and surprisingly wins the Iowa caucus. Her momentum continues and she wins the nomination and the general election.

Doug Ducey
Somehow COVID goes on for 2 more years and Ducey still refuses to lockdown again or new mask mandates. This bolsters his conservative credentials ahead of 2024, and runs on an anti lockdown typical Trump Republican platform. He wins the primary and wins the presidency over Kamala Harris in a narrow election.

He announces quickly after DeSantis passes and gets his endorsement plus that of Rick Scott. He is the only challenger to Trump and thus gets months of positive press for him and negative press for Trump, making him appear much more electable. He then wins the primary and defeats Biden in November after the economy starts to go downhill during the summer.

Doug Collins
Runs for governor in Georgia, wins the R primary, and with both Collins and Herschel Walker winning their races. He becomes a Republican star, because of how trumpy he is and how he beat a great D candidate, Stacey Abrams. He runs in 2024, beating other generic Trump Rs in the primary, and beats Harris in the general election.

Former Vice President Mike Pence wins the Republican nomination after a contentious and crowded GOP primary, selecting Senator Tim Scott as his running mate. Pence dies unexpectedly of a heart attack on October 24, 2024 at the age of 65. Ballots have been printed and distributed in most states already. Scott assumes the role of Republican nominee, urging voters to still cast their ballots for Pence/Scott, indicating that if he wins, he will appoint a Vice President after January 20.

While Pence was trailing Biden by about four or five points in most polling, sympathy votes for the recently deceased former VP allow Scott to win a narrow electoral college victory over Biden, despite losing the popular vote. Tim Scott becomes the second African-American President, and the first from the Republican Party. President Scott appoints Senator Rick Scott as Vice President, marking the first time the President and Vice President have the same surname.

What happened if Isaac Brock of Modest Mouse is President on January 20, 2025?
Runs as a joke, yet somehow wins the New Hampshire, Nevada, and other caucuses over Harris in the D primary. He picks up steam, and runs as a progressive. Harris tries and tries to fight back, but she is unable to. He wins the D primary, and wins over Ron DeSantis.

Joe retires and immediately endorsed Hunter. He trails early on, but since he’s not Trump he wins.

Mark Moores
Somehow it’s found that Melanie Stansbury committed mass voter fraud and that Mark Moore’s truly won. After this investigation, it raises Moores national profile and name recognition. He wins re-election in 2022 by a narrow, narrow margin, and goes on to become the GOP nominee, defeating Ted Cruz in the primary. He goes on to win the general over Harris.
