Biden resigns in late 2023 after a scandal that makes Watergate look like child's play and Harris takes over and, in an attempt to unify the country, appoints Jimmy Carter as her VP. However, just before the 2024 Democratic primaries begin, President Harris is found to be involved in the Biden scandal, impeached, and convicted by the Senate. Carter runs in 2024 as a unifying figure and as a return to normalcy, choosing Amy Klobuchar as his running mate (he would've chose Mondale again but Mondale passed away in 2023). In a stunning upset, the Carter/Klobuchar ticket narrowly defeats Pence/Ernst and Carter is sworn in to a 2nd full term at age 100.

Melania Trump challenges Marco Rubio in the 2022 FL-Sen GOP primary and wins both the primary and the general election. Donald Trump decides to run again in 2024 but dies from a massive heart attack just after Super Tuesday. After this, the Trump family and GOP leaders who supported the late former President convince Melania to run in his place and endorse her. She easily becomes the GOP nominee with the support of both her and her husband's delegates and chooses Tim Scott as her running mate. Trump/Scott goes on to beat Biden/Harris in a closer win than what many expected.

Kamala Harris is assassinated by a right wing extremist in early 2024 and Joe Biden appoints Ed Markey to be her replacement. He is confirmed by both the House and the Senate easily and the Biden/Markey ticket is elected in 2024 with the slogan "Win with No Malarkey and Markey!" Less than a week after Thanksgiving President Biden passes away in his sleep (some suspect foul play but he actually died of natural causes) and Vice President Markey is sworn in as America's 47th President. Biden's would-be electors vote Markey for President and Stacey Abrams for Vice President

Jeff Kuhner gets elected to succeed Charlie Baker as Governor of Massachusetts in 2022 and is almost immediately seen as a potential Presidential frontrunner. Oh, you're asking about eligibility requirements? Those were ruled unconstitutional by the Supreme Court in 2022. Honestly, I didn't expect it either but anyways, back to the story. Former President Trump teases a runs throughout early 2023 but chooses not to run again in March. Governor Kuhner consistently polls in 2nd or 3rd place nationwide and finishes in 2nd in Iowa and Nevada, and winning in New Hampshire. Then, during the debate just before the South Carolina primary, he has an out-of-the-park performance at the expense of the other two frontrunners, Ron DeSantis and Nikki Haley (Mike Pence dropped out after finishing 5th in Iowa).  This new momentum causes Kuhner to have massive victories in SC and on Super Tuesday, and becomes the presumptive nominee after DeSantis and Haley drop out. He chooses Kim Reynolds as his running mate to win Midwestern support and the Kuhner/Reynolds tickets goes on to beat the Harris/Beshear ticket.

William McRaven become President Biden's Secretary of Defense after Lloyd Austin resigns in 2023. He is chosen to be the designated survivor for Biden's 2024 State of the Union Address. That night, as the speech is being given, a bomb planted by a terrorist goes off, killing many, most notably President Biden, Vice President Harris, Speaker Hakeem Jeffries, President Pro Tempore Dianne Feinstein, and Secretaries Antony Blinken and Janet Yellen. In a show of national unity, both the Democratic and Republican parties nominate President McRaven with former Senator Rob Portman as his running mate. With token opposition, McRaven/Portman is elected to a full term with 97% of the vote and winning every state in the electoral college, becoming the first President to do so since George Washington in 1792.

John D. Waihe'e III gets elected to the Senate in 2022 after Brian Schatz unexpectedly announces his retirement. After Biden announces he won't run for reelection in 2024, Waihe'e enters as a long shot candidate. After a campaign similar to "Jimmy Who?" in 1976, he beats VP Harris for the nomination and picks Gretchen Whitmer as his running mate, running against former President Trump. Polls initially show the two neck-and-neck (mainly because of Waihe'e's lack of name recognition compared to Trump), but Waihe'e has a massive surge after Trump has debate performances so bad that they are considered among the worst in Presidential debate history. After nearly 30 years out of the public eye, John Waihe'e comfortably beats Trump on election day and is sworn in ad the 47th President.

Brian Kemp, seeing that he would lose to a primary challenge, declines to run for re-election and instead runs for the Senate. He narrowly beats Raphael Warnock in a runoff and uses his new national name recognition to run for President as a unifying figure in the Republican party. After Biden fumbles in the debates and Kemp is able to appeal to both moderate and pro-Trump GOP voters, he pulls off a narrow victory.

Joe Biden suffers a heart attack in late 2022. It wasn't fatal, but severe enough for him to resign for his health. Kamala Harris becomes the next President and appoints Andy Beshear as her VP, and he gets confirmed easily. Just before the 2024 primaries begin, however, President Harris is assassinated by a domestic terrorist, putting Beshear in charge. He choose Tammy Duckworth as to be VP, and the Beshear/Duckworth ticket win in 2024 in a landslide, in part because of a sympathy vote.
