Redrawn districts allow Brindisi to defeat Tenney in 2022. Biden resigns after the midterms for health reasons, and Kamala Harris becomes President. She chooses Brindisi as her new Vice President, aiming to strengthen Midwest/rural support.

Harris surprises everyone by running for Feinstein's Senate seat in 2024 instead of for a full term, leaving Brindisi to run for the Presidency. There is much speculation about Harris's motive, but she refuses to say anything beyond vague statements like "personal reasons" or "the stress of the job." Republicans try to use the "mystery" to attack Brindisi, but the attacks fall flat. He wins the election by a moderate margin, likely with a map similar to 2020. His administration is seen as essentially the continuation of the Biden/Harris administration.

Unexpectedly defeats an asleep-at-the-wheel R incumbent in 2022, an unusually D-friendly midterm.

Neither Biden nor Harris run in 2024. He somehow manages to get the nomination running on what amounts to a Generic D platform (probably because of a very crowded field), and narrowly wins the general thanks to the home-state effect just barely putting him over the top in Florida.

Kind of the same for most democrats; runs as a dark horse candidate and primaries Harris after she runs a terrible campaign. Then goes on to beat a bad Republican candidate.

Booooooring!

Biden and Harris both either don't or can't run. Kelly unexpectedly launches a campaign, running as a Democrat and portraying himself as "the super-rich guy who's going to stop the super-rich from getting richer." There is skepticism at first because of what happened the last time the country elected a businessman with no political experience, but the nation slowly warms up to him, and he wins the election against a Generic R, with a surprising level of support from business types and fiscal conservatives, because they believe he is going to do a Trump and move to the right economically after being elected.
