Surprisingly cathartic. I think I needed to see something physically destroyed as a definitive symbol of his downfall.

It takes true genius to lose money running a casino.

Incredible he filed for a bankrupcy of his casinos. He's a very bad businessman. I wouldn't give him my savings.
This demolition is the symbol of his downfall.

Bankrupcy for Apple, Microsoft, HP or others Huh?? You dreaming.

I wish I could say that it's a metaphor, but that would only be accurate if a group of people then started squatting at the leftover lot filled with nothing but debris.

I am not a fan of buildings being torn down in impoverished cities like Atlantic City. The city as a whole will be worse off since nothing will stand on that lot again.

The parking lot that will tentatively replace it is a far better use of that space than that ugly abomination.

Furthermore, there should be great opportunities for Atlantic City to reinvent itself.

Doubtful. Atlantic City's heyday is long gone. You can't build a thriving tourism industry on day-trippers and there's no reason for anyone to plan a week-long vacation there these days. Gambling was a temporary tonic for the city that lasted only as long as legalized gambling was rare in the U.S..
