The Constitutional Convention has completed its work. Delegates: Vote in favor of or against each of the following amendments. Please note that this vote is for delegates only. If an amendment receives a two-thirds majority, then it will be sent to the regions for ratification.

A brief summary of the effects of an amendment is given in italics, unless the amendment's text clearly speaks for itself. These summaries are provided for the sake of convenience and are not parts of the amendments themselves.

1. Special Elections for Regional Senate Seats

1. Clauses 4 and 5 of Article I, Section 4 of the Constitution are hereby repealed.

2. If a vacancy shall occur in any Senate seat, then a special election shall be called to fill the remainder of the vacated term within ten days of the vacancy occurring.

Provides that, when a regional senate seat becomes vacant, it shall be filled by special election instead of gubernatorial appointment.

2. Abolition of the Budget Requirement
1. Section 8 of Article I of the Constitution is hereby repealed.
2. The Fourth Amendment to the Constitution is hereby repealed.

Abolishes the requirement that the Senate pass a budget.

3. Change to Constitutional Amendment Procedure
The Senate, whenever two-thirds of its number shall deem it necessary, shall propose amendments to this Constitution, which shall be valid to all intents and purposes of this Constitution when ratified by a majority of the People voting in public polls in no less than three of the five Regions. Such votes shall last for exactly one week and shall be administered by the Governor of the Region or other officer as the Law of the Region may provide. Citizens will cast their vote by public post.

Provides that constitutional amendments may be ratified by three out of five regions, instead of four out of five regions.

4. Game Moderator Mandate
The President must appoint a Game Moderator within one week of a Game Moderator's resignation or dismissal.

5. Game Moderator/Government Office Incompatibility
No person may hold the position of Game Moderator while holding any office of the Republic of Atlasia at any level of the government.

6. Officers' Avatars
Clause 2 of Article V, Section 1 of the Constitution is hereby repealed.

Repeals the requirement that every officer of the Atlasian government have an avatar/note in signature indicating the state of residence.

7. Regional Judiciaries
Any Region may vest all or part of its judicial power in the Supreme Court of Atlasia.

8. Imprisonment
No individual shall ever be imprisoned for failure to pay debt, taxes, alimony, or child support.

I don't think a formal amendment was ever proposed. There were a few suggestions, and the sponsor, I believe, chose one of them.

I thought I removed the one week from Game Moderator Mandate.
Again, no formal amendment was ever proposed; nor was the post containing the amendment edited.

In any event, my vote is as follows:
1. Aye
2. Aye
3. No
4. No
5. No
6. Aye
7. Aye
8. No

Wouldn't have mattered a bit actually, unless someone else had voted as well, since there were no 6-3 votes.  If you had for a 5-4 amendment it would have become 6-4 and still not 2/3rd and it you had voted against a 7-2 amendment it have become 7-3 and thus still over 2/3rds.
