18.....I was awfully dorky and naïve when I was in HS.  Once I realized females don't bite that hard it was amazing how easy it was to get into one.

These are absolutely not "fundamental". Millions of American (or Canadian or Australian) married coupled do not own a vehicle or a home. But I see your point outside of the word choice.
