A great Kentuckian! Free speech champion and unapologetic liberal Democrat who called out Republican and Christian Right hypocrisy frequently. Took a bullet from some racist hick in Georgia who was offended Hustler showed interracial sex, was paralyzed but never backed down.
Also, a great movie was made about him starring Woody Harrelson (
The People vs. Larry Flynt), well worth watching.
