When do you think the first candidate of either party will file papers for an exploratory committee, thus officially opening the 2008 campaign?

When will the first intra-party debates be most likely?

In 2004, the Democrats had one of their first intra-party debate in May 2003, I believe, while the first candidate filed almost immediately after the 2002 mid-terms, like in December 2002.

Since both parties are completely wide open for the first time in many decades, I think by this Thanksgiving 2006, we will probably see the first person file papers for an exploratory committee.  First debates probably early Spring 2007 (April)
