State Rep. Savannah Maddox is running.

Does she have a chance?
No, she's absolutely bonkers.

She is ultra-ultra-conservative. But occasionally she takes non-conservative views on things.

I think she was very much against the lockdown crap, which most people are. Unlike most far right-wingers, I think she also voted to abolish corporal punishment in schools.

I think she had a Democratic opponent in the last election who mostly just complained about people not wearing masks. Needless to say, that didn't end well for the Democrat.

IDK, given how much of a dumpster fire this GOP primary already seems to be, and Cameron seeming pretty weak surprisingly at this point, Beshear may be in even better shape than I thought.

Why not?

Because of the COVID totalitarianism designed to appease the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce.

I would be extremely surprised if Beshear didn't win re-election.

So then he (probably) wins re-election, paving the way for a Senator Cameron by 2026

Mitch likely retires in 2026. I could see Bevin run to succeed him.

And besides, hasn't that geriatric Ninja Turtle been grooming Cameron to succeed him ever since he become Kentucky's AG? Bevin is a proven loser and Adams is probably more interested in running for Governor in 2027.

Wow, those numbers are great for Beshear. It's obviously going to be closer than 9 points but I could see him winning by 3-5.

Surprisingly, it's not that big an issue to everyone. You might need to realize that to avoid disappointment.
