How much money will McConnell dump into this primary to stop Jim Jordan?

It won’t be enough

I think people are sleeping on Betty Sutton. She has experience running for state wide office, and was Brown’s successor in the house, so they’re probably close. And Brown’s wife wants a woman to run. If there’s a candidate from Northeast Ohio I bet it’s her

A bunch of polls dropped showing a tight race with a lot of undecided. Acton outperforms Tim Ryan and is ahead of Vance who seems to be the weekest republican.

This thread should not have 16 (now 17) pages. This is not a competitive race.

I mean even if the general isn't competitive we're looking at potentially two highly contested primaries which'll be interesting

I had a dream last night that Amy Acton lost the primary with around 12% of the vote and an older state senator white man won in a blowout.

The prophecy has been laid

It would seem as though Republicans have the momentum for 2022. Of course, that's to be expected.

Maybe in this race, but democrats have posted impressive funding as well. Andy Kim raised about 1 million

Entirely random but Vance is the exact eyes and look of the guy who got elected mayor of my town then was refused office cause he was exposed to be a pedophile…

Point is I don’t trust him as far as I can through him

Being Jewish, seeing a Jewish politician repeatedly say some version of the 14 words to try to fit in with white nationalists and become their leader makes me want to vomit.

Mandel’s Jewish? Never knew

He's still probably going to win, but the Republican frontrunner wanting to abolish (or, shall we say, defund) all public schools is a massive freebie.

Mosque would also be allowed schools in this scheme. I’m sure they’ll love that

Republican Senate candidate Mark Pukita goes after Mandel and has a gamer moment.

Quote
“Are we seriously supposed to believe the most Christian-values Senate candidate is Jewish?” a voice actor asks in Pukita’s radio ad. “I am so sick of these phony caricatures.”

“I agree,” a woman replies in the ad. “We keep electing people like this, we’ll just keep getting the same terrible results.”

Reminds me of this;
Quote
Kirk Fordice offended Jewish groups such as B'nai B'rith by referring to America as "a Christian Nation" during a Republican governors conference. South Carolina governor Carroll Campbell quickly offered a correction, adding "Judeo-" as a prefix to Christian, but Fordice snapped back that he meant what he said.

How dare a republican forget to pointlessly mask their barcode Christian nationalism by forgetting to say “Judeo-“

On the day that a jury socked Alex Jones for nearly $1 Billion in damages to the Sandy Hook families, a reminder:

Oh no, Vance criticized Rachel Maddow, I'm sure Ohio voters will hate that. /s

By the way, would you like me to post Rachel Maddow's commentary on the Covid vaccines?

you literally missed the entire part of the post. wow.

Oh, ok, you do want me to post Maddow dishing on the vaccines. At your service, then!

The point of the post was someone was trying to dunk on Vance for tweeting out that he considers Alex Jones a more reliable source of information than Rachel Maddow. This was supposed to be super clever and timely because Jones had a rough day in court today. Know what else happened today? A Pfizer exec testified to EU parliament that his company never tested the Covid vaccines to see how they affected transmission of the virus. Which brought this little gem from Maddow back to light:

https://twitter.com/jstylman/status/1580276759215624192

"The virus stops with every vaccinated person," Maddow said. Throughout the entire segment, she was as wrong as one can possibly be. The stuff she was saying wasn't believed to be true even by the manufacturers of the damn thing, but she was at her desk passing her wishful thinking off as absolute fact. Which is exactly the kind of thing JD Vance was criticizing.

So what flavor is the koolaid today?
