Do you think he's ever heard of the First Amendment?

This isn't a stretch for too many people, given how ingrained and Abrahamic American civil religion has been since the 50s and how we tend to treat the latter like the former. It isn't a good thing, of course, but it's fitting red meat for the people who'll be behind him.

Regardless, it's just blatantly wrong to anyone who has even a basic knowledge of the Constitution. It's sad that this sort of thing is now a viable strategy to win, not even in Alabama, but Ohio.

I'm sure his "you people are all lazy welfare queens who need to pull yourselves up by your bootstraps like me" is going to be a winning message in rural Ohio lol

To be entirely fair to J.D. Vance, this is a message which has been very successful in rural Ohio in the very recent past.

Considering he's Jewish, probably not. He does like to pick a fight with Jewish groups though.

Some old, once deleted tweets JD Vance tweets that were critical of President Trump have come out.

Quote
Ohio Republican Senate candidate J.D. Vance said on Monday that he regrets posting since-deleted tweets critical of former President Trump.

“Like a lot of people, I criticized Trump back in 2016,” Vance told Fox News' Alicia Acuna during a Monday interview. “And I ask folks not to judge me based on what I said in 2016, because I’ve been very open that I did say those critical things and I regret them, and I regret being wrong about the guy. I think he was a good president, I think he made a lot of good decisions for people, and I think he took a lot of flak.”

“I think … the most important thing, is not what you said five years ago, but whether you’re willing to stand up and take the heat and take the hits for actually defending the interests of the American people,” Vance said.

Vance also says in the clip shared by Mediaite that he met with Trump recently at his Mar-a-Lago estate and calls him a “good president.”

This state has a fickle meaning about itself like it did in 2017, the Gov has a line item veto and vote excessive spending which benefits Rs, but the state has reelected Brown and Ryan over and over again, Renacci can very well win, due to line item veto power and Ryan can win, just like in 2018, just like AZ can split it's votes in 2018 between Sinema and Ducey

There can be split voting unless Abrams run in GA, Kemp and Warnock

OH and NC and IA are better pickups than FL with popular DeSANTIS and don't underestimate Smith in IA

If we are to hold the S in 2024 we must win OH to protect Brown and cement DC Statehood with the Trifecta in 500 days of course

This man really doesn't know how to be a candidate (which is admittedly harder than it looks).

Entirely random but Vance is the exact eyes and look of the guy who got elected mayor of my town then was refused office cause he was exposed to be a pedophile…

Point is I don’t trust him as far as I can through him

This is my bold, yet data-less prediction of this race: Timken wins the nomination closely and then easily wins by around 10 points

Vance calls Harris, Buttigieg, and AOC "childless cat ladies" and suggests that people without children have less stake in the future of the country than parents do

Cook or Sabato hasn't changed the ratings it still Leans R until we get a poll as well as NC

Biden has the Exact same Approvals he had on Election night 50(45% as opposed to 51/46% on Election night, I don't care how rosey pbower2A maps are we need polls

They have on WI it's a Tossup but what do you expect when Biden has the same exact Approvals he has on Election night it's a 278(291(304 map and Rs are gonna barely scrape by in WI, MI and PA Govs race and OH Gov is Safe R, Whaley is a disaster

With all the comparisons of Ohio now being what Missouri was 10 years ago , remember 10 years ago the GOP ran Todd Akin for the senate and lost that race.

While I have this race as Likely R, Josh Mandel has the potential to be the Todd Akin of this race and blow it
