Murkowski at 21. Ouch. He could be approaching Taft territory.

The incumbent hate has begun to subside. That, and he hasn't had any embarassments like Act 72 recently.

Rell is tied with Schweitzer for absolute approval, and has a lower differential than him.

But 62% stilll seems high.  I still would estimate his 'normal' (nothing bad or specifically good happening-like right now) to be somewhere between 50-55%.

some surprises:

42% of blacks approve of Barbour
people who never attend church are more likely to approve of Barbour than those who go weekly.

Don't trust the numbers produced when SUSA (or anybody else) polls subgroups.

Their is  always that one poll in twenty factor, but this is the 3rd month in a row he is aorund the 60% mark  Overall it seems like while their may not be anything great that pops out the people of PA think he has done an overall good job.

That's a pretty open-ended question.  He's been this low for a looong time.  What do you mean?

Here is a listing of all 50 states.  Currently my governor, Brad Henry is doing about what I thought -- 59% approve, 30% disapprove.

Why is he so low?  Down in the teens on this popularity contest.

He pleaded no contest to four misdemeanors last year, and thats not even including the massive coin scandal which has landed some of his associates in jail.  It basically involved those who made large donations to the Repubicans in the state were able to get state officials to invest hundreds of millions of $$$ from the Ohio government bureau of Workers Compensation Fund'.  It involved investing in rare coins, that turned up missing, tens of millions of $$$ worth.

Pataki doesn't warrant his low approval ratings.  People should put him under "not sure" because he pretty much stopped doing anything.  Which to me disapprove implies you did something bad.  I guess abandoning your role as leader is good, but to me it is at least neutral.  He does more in Iowa than he does in New York Tongue.

The education cuts shortly after his last election he has never recovered from.  Also the fact he seems to e moving slightly to the right dor his 08 run (though not trying to take the leap Romney has) has hurt him

Unfortunately, in looks like Indiana's Mitch Daniels is somewhat recovering from the highway privatization and time zone disasters.  I hope his disapproval climbs back up so Dems have a better chance to take back the Indiana House and have wind in the sails of the troika of competitive IN House races.

Glad to see that Matt Blunt continues to be in the dumps and that Gregoire is continuing to improve in popularity with her competant, if milquetoast, governing style.
