I think it was pretty obvious just two days into his term that Trump would rank near the bottom of the historical list of Presidents, even just based on his lies about inauguration crowd size.

So based on the first two days of the Biden administration, where will he rank once his presidency is over?

Based on how the presidents are currently ranked in the "2017 C-SPAN Presidential Historian Survey" probably between HW and Adams... so 20th-ish, if I'm being generous. Roughly on the higher end of the middle of the pack.

I'd say somewhere between 15th and 25th.

Why? Seems like an interesting prediction to discuss.

My prediction has actually improved pretty significantly in the past two days.  My guess is he will rank near the bottom of the Top 10.

11-15. He has the potential to make a lot of positive change by cleaning up Trump's mess and making lasting reforms.

If his first two days are indicative of the rest of his presidency, and we don't see congressional obstruction, he has the potential to end in the top third at least.

20 something. Pretty lame, but not the total dumpster fire that is required to get into the 30s.

Near the bottom of the Top 10 means like #9...like around LBJ or Reagan.

My prediction concerning this hasn't substantially changed since his victory was declared:

I could see him go down as one of the most important defining figures of the post-9/11 era, if only because of how much damage his administration will be undoing, both with regards to the nation's recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic specifically as well as from the more broad damage caused by the past 4 years in general (i.e. likely focusing strongly on efforts to re-establish domestic unity & repair our foreign reputation). Obviously not Washington/Lincoln level or anything, but perhaps at least equal to Obama (so, maybe around ~12/13).

If nothing else, I think he'll be pretty well-remembered for his poetic life story of starting his political career at a pretty young age, experiencing significant personal tragedies over the course thereof, & then ending said career as the unifying elder statesman who sought to "restore the soul of our nation," though I'm pretty sure that doesn't really factor into the presidential ranking surveys all that much, since they (obviously) pertain moreso to the success of service as President.

People thought Trump would be the worst President since before he even took office.

Either a place holder for a more transformative President or the last traditional politician to hold office as we slide into more and more kook candidates selected by a jaded populace that would rather see the world burn.

High end of 11-20 unless there's a crisis beyond COVID and he rises to the occasion. Combined with an otherwise successful term that could put him into the top ten.

Almost certainly better than average. How much better than average remains to be seen, but I don't see him being a bad president by any stretch of the imagination.

On the first two days he seemed competent and delivered on promises. Of course, compared to Donald Trump even Herbert Hoover would look like the greatest statesman of all time.

If he manages to get the country out of covid-19’s grasp then he has the potential of being viewed on the same level as FDR.

Covid is a major crisis so if somehow he brings us out of this nightmare then he’s going down as one of the best.

At the very worst, he’ll be viewed somewhere in the middle.

I think most likely somewhere in the 11-20 range.

If he gets the pandemic under control quick

Unifies the country even marginally (I’m not naive, I just mean to a degree where every seat isn’t safe and bipartisan understanding is reached on at least a few things)

And takes decisive steps on student loans, climate, statehood and infrastructure

I genuinely believe he will be really high up
