What the hell is that racist rant going on in the background?

So now we know what they say when they think nobody is listening.

I couldn't make out what was being said, what was it?

I couldn't make it all out but it had something to do with the genetic differences between Blacks, Jews, and others and how racial stereotypes have a basis in fact.

What a smart thing to start blabbing about on national TV!

At least a W for Oliver would be a rejection of that trend. Hopefully a non-temporary one.

Anyway, McCurdle is eating pizza and surprised C-Span is still there.

Edit: Damn, she gave me a heart attack for a second when she said to hold on.

My only issue with Oliver at the debate is that he can sway a lot when speaking, it's an odd quirk that makes his delivery much less effective.

Damn, you weren’t kidding.

Weird fact: In high school I dated the Libertarian candidate, Chase Oliver.

Pretty sure I haven’t mentioned that here.

Do we know when Inmate Trumps Bday is? Cause that might be a pretty hefty age difference (2 years) if true. Either way, they'd be two grade levels apart.

Their logo/slogan for the convention being "BECOME UNGOVERNABLE" is so obviously terrible in various different ways, lol.

The NH LP guy endorsed Trump after Oliver beat Rectenwald, I wonder how many other mises people will do the same, not that it matters much any way this is very likely to be a historically bad year for the Libertarians with RFK jr in the race sucking up most of the air Centerist third party politics lane.

How can someone's opinion be so unstable? Wouldn't surprise me if he's unto someone else's bandwagon in a few weeks.

Is Oliver the first openly gay presidential candidate on the general election ballot? Googled and all I saw were Mayor Pete articles but seems like there could have been another third party candidate at some point.

As much as I like to dunk on the LP, when they're presented with true clown car candidates (Mcafee, Vermin Supreme, all the rabble this year) they reject them and go with someone cool like this. Way less embarrassing than the Republicans nominating Trump for the third consecutive time.

What the hell happened to the Libertarian party? They used to have at least respectable candidates and even Jorgensen wasn't outright terrible. However, now they nominated some gay woke neoliberal who thinks the Mises Caucus and close to half of the party is racist. Trump was right the other day except the 3% part, Oliver probably won't even get 1.3%. At least on the bright side, its the best possible Libertarian candidate Trump could have hoped for.

If Oliver has a problem, being gay isn't it.

Nominating a gay guy is, by itself, probably the coolest thing the Libertarian Party have ever done.

My gut reaction that Oliver is an unusually sane (relatively speaking) choice for the LP has been validated by seeing these meltdowns over his nomination.

Looked at some lists of his political views online and he's completely normal for the LP and not an aberration at all. Right wing economics, socially liberal, pro civil liberties, and anti war is what you get with them. Although libertarians liked Ron Paul he was a lot more socially conservative than what your typical LP member or candidate is so that may be skewing your view.

Also looking forward to trolling the blue hair intersectional queer kids telling them that they're not voting Oliver because of their internalized homophobia.

Am I crazy or is there an outside chance for this guy to appeal to dejected and disaffected college kids off the back of his whole "gay, anti-war, pro-immigration" thing?
