Well given her long time colleague Barbara Boxer they objected in a far more decisive result she really can’t hold another position

I wouldn’t say 2004 was far more decisive than this year. I do think Boxer was out of line but there were actual concerns, unlike this year when there was literally nothing.

2004 was more decisive in the raw vote margin required to win the election and also percentage by uniform swing as Ohio was +100k/+2 Bush.
This year it was +0.6 Biden for the TPS and around 50k raw vote margin in total when you combine GA/AZ/WI

2016 only had 11 Democrats oppose but one of those Democrats is currently leading Trump's impeachment trial.(Jamie Raskin)
