I usually don’t support primary challengers out of fear of it backfiring, but a senator from California has no right to be this terrorist sympathizing. Sure maybe if it were Manchin I would be fine, but seriously?

This is just sad. She really should’ve retired in 2012.

Gee, I'm so embarrassed she represents my state. I enthusiastically voted for DeLeon in 2018.

How did she win in 2018, I'll never understand besides just being the incumbent.

Ironically the top 2 primary makes it much harder to get rid of her if she won't go willingly. She could become "moderate candidate" and put together a coalition of R's and moderate D's, like how all those progressive ballot initiatives were defeated.

They certainly have the right....but with no evidence, what's the point other than to attempt to steal the election and overthrow democracy?

As best I can tell, all the Democrats voted for Feinstein and all the GOPers for DeLeon because she's one of those Sam Fransisco liberals we keep hearing about.
Politics can be very shallow when large numbers of people get involved.

Agreed, but I don’t think we’ll have to worry about her running again

This is almost certainly her last term so she’ll be gone anyway, but starting to wish she’d left earlier.

Well given her long time colleague Barbara Boxer they objected in a far more decisive result she really can’t hold another position

I wouldn’t say 2004 was far more decisive than this year. I do think Boxer was out of line but there were actual concerns, unlike this year when there was literally nothing.

2004 was more decisive in the raw vote margin required to win the election and also percentage by uniform swing as Ohio was +100k/+2 Bush.
This year it was +0.6 Biden for the TPS and around 50k raw vote margin in total when you combine GA/AZ/WI

2016 only had 11 Democrats oppose but one of those Democrats is currently leading Trump's impeachment trial.(Jamie Raskin)

Bush won the tipping point state by more than two points while Biden won the tipping point by 0.6 points . If someone things 2004 had concerns then you really can’t say 2020 didnt .

Neither should have been objected too

When my great-grandmother started suffering from dementia, she at least did not dedicate her remaining energy to abetting a coup.

Well yeah. But DeLeon was also a moron and objectively not a strong candidate, so what else can ya do?

Senile old bat. Unsurprising she won election in the same state that voted to ban gay marriage and for Uber to f*** its own employees.

Republicans voted 59-39% for De Leon.
