If NBA star Kyle Korver enters politics after retirement and moves up the ladder politically, what would he bring to a Democratic ticket?

He's a white male, when that is not so popular in the Democratic Party, he's from Iowa, which is flyover country with few electoral votes, what does he bring?

Korver would help someone like a Julian Castro or a Ayanna Pressley, but he would depress turnout by Democrats because he is a white male. He can't move the needle in IA or MO....

Nothing at all. I quite like Korver but he's an obscure NBA player. That isn't going to matter to the electorate so in their eyes it'll just be a random white guy they've never heard of that also hasn't held political office before.

Wouldn't he help put Iowa or some other Midwestern states in play electorally??? He could help with young voters who care about social justice....

Well, a lot of Black voters like his stances on racial justice, etc.

Does he improve the Dems standing in Iowa, Ohio, Florida, etc.?
