Hopefully that ugly yellow curtain gets replaced soon.

Careful. That actually dates to the Obama era.

It was originally Clinton's, actually.

Aren't these just the Trump drapes? Because I definitely remember hearing that Trump just reused the Clinton drapes.

Yes, probably the same exact bust that Ford kept in that same spot of his Oval.

Feinstein on the Senate floor with Padilla.

1. Doesn't inspire confidence in me that he may be more in her mold than Harris.

2. I used to can't stand seeing Feinstein on my screen. Now I just feel sad. I really hope she retires in 2024, for her sake.

To be fair, it's tradition for the state's senior Senator to escort the state's junior Senator when they're being inaugurated. Ossoff and Warnock couldn't do that for obvious reasons.

I think the insinuation is that "he may be more in her mold than Harris" because of his having worked for her in the past. She was his mentor & got him into politics, IIRC. So, yeah.

Trump has some interesting supporters.

She says that "I don't even see our American flag any more."
I guess she just likes to see the American flag when it is being used to beat Capitol police officers ... https://youtu.be/SVhLKKTUhIg

I believe that Biden is the only sitting President to have received the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

Good to see we have our first Biden-era meme: Bundled-Up Bernie Sanders.

I could see him awarding Obama with it in the years to come. That would be the only two presidents who awarded each other.

Would be cool if Biden brought back the “Buck Stops Here” sign like Jimmy Carter did.

The Oval Office looks so nice with the blue carpet.

EDIT: Biden is reusing the drapes and the carpet from the Clinton era.

Not my favorite color Oval Office rug. But it does look good regardless.

Love the picture of him with Pope Francis behind his desk!!!

Did Biden change the rug? If I recall Trump had a tan one (might've been the same one W and Obama used). The one in the pic looks like the Clinton one.

Half surprised, but glad he's keeping Jefferson's portrait. He wrote the Declaration of Independence, he and Washington are the most important Founding Fathers whether you like it or not. Hamilton can GTFO, though, wish that silly musical hadn't rehabilitated his image.

Is that Biden's own office chair? I know Trump often had chesterfield ones like that so it could just be Trump's but I love chairs like that so hopefully Biden still uses one.

Sex is great, but have you ever looked at the wikipedia page for the United States?

It's not like anyone on Atlas is having sex so they'll just have to settle for this.

You just have to LOL at people who are only just now realizing that Biden will become president. Welcome to reality, guys, we've missed you!

I guess some haven't quite realized it yet.

Quote
Meanwhile, several QAnon loyalists performed medal-worthy mental gymnastics to keep their delusion alive. A few suggested that the video of Biden becoming president was a deepfake and that he was actually locked away behind bars as it played across the nation. Others posited that Biden himself had in fact been working with Trump to dismantle the deep state all along, and would be the one to sic the military on the supposed traitors. Many simply pleaded with each other to stay patient: “Q wouldn’t do this to us. He wouldn’t let us down. Don’t lose hope.”

From that HuffPost article.

It would be so wild if there started to be right wing conspiracy theories that Biden was secretly in league with Trump.

It's definitely not the Trump rug, yeah.

I know covid is still raging and the situation is grim for the short term...but I haven’t felt this relieved and optimistic in 4 years.

It’s like a huge weight has been lifted off my chest.
