I thought she represented a conservative southern (culturally) area of Georgia, not a nut job place in Idaho. Weird

Idaho is a beautiful and an incredibly underrated state, Greene's district is a hellhole for which she's a terrific fit.

Fuzzy we had “fact finding investigations” around voter fraud and they found nothing. You said you’d accept the courts as the final arbiter on whether voter fraud happened and when they ruled nothing fishy happened you just ignored it and kept saying voter fraud happened. This is no different then when you throw out accusations or talking points that get debunked and run away from the thread like nothing happened wait a couple days and post the same accusations or talking points again.

That presumes the Courts would actually hear the questions and hear witnesses.  That hasn't happened.  It should happen.  As for "debunked" allegations, the MSM lacks the credibilty to debunk anything about this past election.  They have not been objective reporters of fact; they have been activists in the tank to elect Biden at all costs.  An independent press is something we don't have now.

We've spend millions on Russiagate (which has been debunked by investigation).  We can spend money on this.  There is cause for it.  People who are actually liberal should be fine with this.

Fuzzy, serious question: Do you think judges like Stephanos Bibas, Bill Pryor, Jeremy Kernodle, and for that matter Trump's three SCOTUS appointees participated in some sort of conspiracy or snow job to cover up or refuse to assess real evidence of electoral fraud against a Republican President? If so, what motives do you think they had for doing so?
I understand what you are trying to do, because Fuzzy has been here for a looong time and used to be sort of reasonable.

That Fuzzy is gone. Plain and simple. Trying to use logic to persuade him will not work. He's gone too far down the rabbit hole and might as well be a Qanon guy at this point. It's sad and pathetic, but I don't think there is much we can do about it.

Great they take this on. Preferrably she would just be expelled from the House, but I guess that isn't happening because Republicans don't have enough courage.

The Rome (GA) News-Tribune slammed Greene in an editorial this weekend.  I believe Rome is the largest city in GA-14, slightly larger than Dalton.   Meanwhile, the Dalton newspaper reprinted an editorial from the South Florida Sun-Sentinel calling her "a terrorist in Congress' midst".

I think a censure would be appropriate for her comments, but I still think the talk of expulsion is a an overreaction. Not counting the 17 Confederate traitors expelled 1861-1862, only 3 members of Congress have ever been expelled: one for treason in 1797, and two for bribery in 1980 and 2002. It’s an incredibly high bar, only met by criminals. Saying batsh**t crazy things and insulting the victims tragedies like 9/11 deserves condemnation, but it isn’t bribery or treason.

Speaking of MTG's children, this was supposedly posted on FB by her daughter.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lvBwD8M8LR0

I can't figure out if this is a hoax from someone not actually her daughter, crazy not falling far from the crazy tree, or a brilliant version of Claudia Conway trolling her psycho mom.

That feels like a hoax or spoof.

If not, wow.

It’s a hoax. This same woman did a 5-minute “sketch” in which she pretended to be the wife of the podium guy from the Capitol attacks.

Her whole deal is pretending to be the relative of various notorious Trump supporters, saying ridiculous stuff and then posting it to her Twitter. Obviously it appears to be satire on her account, because she’s pretending to be different people in each video.

The problem is, the videos get spread around without that context, and people assume that they’re real. I’ll admit, I was fooled the first time around too. We’re so through the looking glass with some of these people that it’s increasingly hard to tell joke from reality.

Context:

Actually I think part of the reason her videos get mistaken as real as well is because she's really not that funny as is the case with about 99% of Internet celebrities.

So expelling MTG is basically an impossibility because of the 2/3 threshold but what about stripping her of her committee assignments like some Democrats are talking about? That would only take a majority vote, correct?

Democrats voting to strip MTG of her committee roles is something they might want to do now, but they could end up regretting it if the GOP does the same to AOC, Tlaib, and Omar. Or maybe not, Pelosi might be happy about lowering the power of those three.

McConnell: Marjorie Taylor Greene's views are a 'cancer' for the GOP

Quote
Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell on Monday issued a tacit rebuke of controversial Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, slamming the Georgia Republican's "loony lies and conspiracy theories" as a "cancer" for the party.

"Loony lies and conspiracy theories are cancer for the Republican Party and our country," McConnell said in a statement. "Somebody who's suggested that perhaps no airplane hit the Pentagon on 9/11, that horrifying school shootings were pre-staged, and that the Clintons crashed JFK Jr.'s airplane is not living in reality. This has nothing to do with the challenges facing American families or the robust debates on substance that can strengthen our party."

While McConnell did not name Greene directly, his statement stands as a scathing rebuke of the freshman Republican House member. The Hill first reported on the statement.

Marjorie Taylor Greene indicated support for executing prominent Democrats in 2018 and 2019.
https://www.cnn.com/2021/01/26/politics/marjorie-taylor-greene-democrats-violence/index.html

If "AOC, Tlaib, and Omar" made threatening comments or death-wishing-execution on others (especially other House members) ... then yes, it should be considered.
And I would be willing to bet you, that quite a handful of Dems in the House would agree (definitely more than the amount of Republicans who are speaking-out against MTG).

But it's not just that. It's the entire, psychotic MTG story, of everything that is now coming-out. Lasers controlled by "Jews" starting fires, killings of school children on school grounds being red flag operations, etc etc.
Just crazy, bat-sh*t stuff.
If you want to make comparisons (to possible future repercussions that may go the other way), make sure they are equal in their derangement and quantity.

Kevin McCarthy won’t do sh**t. He is a MAGA true believer at his core and wants MTG to remain in Congress.

I find it interesting how the most "outspoken" Republicans-that is, those who are the most critical of Trump and his supporters-are those who aren't holding any current political office. Sanford, Flake, Corker (who recently appeared in a Frontline documentary about Trump's "madness"), Kasich, all would fit into this category.

... There are allegations of ballots transported from NY to PA, of huge numbers of ballots having just the Presidential race selected, bins of ballots pulled out under tables, etc.  Why should this NOT be investigated?

Your "bins of ballots pulled out under tables" allegation, was debunked a long time ago.
Why would you believe in this Giuliani hogwash? Lunatic Rudy and company, intentionally only showed part of the video where "bins were pulled out from underneath tables." But as many have already seen and as the factual story goes, if you watch the entire video, the bins were place there earlier for temporary storage, and then were pulled back-out to continue the counting of ballots.
Why are you being so dishonest about the entire election?

According to MTG, the only way for you to be a strong Republican is to throw a fit and kick and scream when you lose instead of being graceful or something

People like Trump, MTG, Boebert, Gosar, Mo Brooks, Jim Jordan, Matt Gaetz, etc is the result of the Republican Party establishment appeasing culture war fighters and the religious right for the past 40-50 years in exchange for power.

Neville Chamberlain thought that he could contain Hitler by appeasing him - that failed dramatically.

Reasonably confident she'll be on their presidential ticket next cycle.
That's what is so frightening. She's clearly taking a page out of Horrible Hawley's playbook and wants to run for a statewide office (Our Savior Stacey Abrams will put a stop to that, though).

I made an info box for this scenario. It was Falcouner winning in a clown car election in CA and being forced to pick her as his VP
