Hoffman is a white conservative Democrat from somewhere downstate, Welch is the black caucus guy from the west suburbs.

Well this is great news for the people of Illinois, but we aren’t out of the clear just yet. Let’s hope his daughter isn’t coronated into any further leadership roles.

JB Pritzker is now the undisputed victor of the two. Astonishing how that happened.
