After 8 years of Hillary Clinton and 4 years of Evan Bayh, incumbent Republican President Sarah Palin wins her second term in a landslide ...

Nope. Only GA will "soldify" GOP leads. Texas, Arizona and Florida will all start to trend hard left soon, because of Hispanic immigration.(Mainly Mexicans, Puerto Ricans and others will be Democrats, while Cubans will be a 50-50 split)

TX is too Republican to be changed heavily by immigration, FL has Cubans which split 50-50 its more Jews from NY that could push it left, AZ could turn left by immigration

Texas will change heavily soon. The reason why it is so Republican now is because of low Hispanic turnout numbers. This will change in 2008 when the Immigration Issue, alienates Hispanics.

I know Texas.  I lived in Texas for ten years.  Texas is not going to trending left in a significant way any time soon.

...and there are a lot of legal immigrants who may start resenting illegal immigration.

Since it was pointed out that my last prediction had some faults, I decided to revise the list.

1.) Why in the world would FL lose EV?
2.) Why does Arkansas move left?

Florida loses EV for a number of reasons.  First, the weather and hurricane risk stems people from locating to southern Florida.  Also, I expect a large number of Cubans to return to Cuba after Castro dies.  I expect Arkansas to move left because of the Clinton effect, combined with an already strong-Democratic congressional delegation.

Chelsea Wink mixed in with residue of 8 more years of Hillary.

In 2024, Tom Kean Jr (with Jerry Kilgore as VP) will just be finishing his first term as president.

That's almost impossible to predict! But I shall go for there being a Republican president just because there normally is.

That really depends on whether Generation Y will go one being spoiled Communist brats or whether they'll end up like the Baby Boomers all being born-again Christians.

If you think Communism is Progressivism, then they probably will be a bunch of "Communist" brats. At my school, which is uber-conservative, the majority of the kids in my class had the viewpoint that Healthcare should be provided by the government to those that cannot afford it. Of course their parents had different views...

I guarantee you it's because they don't pay taxes yet.

No way. All my friends talk very badly about taxes when they do, and said it was the private's sectors duty to look out for the poor.

Weird reasoning here. They though it was the duty of the govenment to provide health care, and yet they thought it should be left to the private sector?

Christian Democrats
Social Democrats

The Republican Party has died, and the Democratic Party has split along a European pattern.

So basically what there is now with the names changed? (State winner wise)

1. Obama wins re-election in 2016 in an Eisenhower-like landslide. The GOP loses badly in other elections.

2. A Democrat very different from Obama wins the nomination and wins in an LBJ-like landslide in 2020. The GOP becomes irrelevant.

3. The Democrats split into two parties roughly even in electoral power.

That would be awesome. I would probably have to hold my nose a lot less when I voted.
