It should be considered an apology to her and an acknowledgment that this country severely f—ked up by not electing her in 2016. Next only to slavery, our greatest national embarrassment ever was electing this monstrosity over her. The history books will look kindly on her but I want her to get some recognition now while she can still appreciate it.

Agree or disagree?

I don't think failing to prevent Trump should be rewarded.

C’mon, really? Just because Trump is a complete pile of feces doesn’t mean we have to glorify Hillary Clinton. We might as well give everyone on the planet the Presidential Medal of Freedom if the only standard is being better than Trump.

No, it’s because she is great on her own account and among other things was the first woman ever to win the most votes cast for president.

She lost because this country (really just a handful of states, barely) is full of morons who could not see the very obvious contrast between the two candidates. Or worse, DID see it but still preferred Trump. That’s not her fault. Not even to get into the interference of James Comey or Vladimir Putin.

Again, it’s my view she deserves to be recognized for her place in history now while she can see it, because I guarantee you she will be regarded favorably by history anyway. She wouldn’t be rewarded for failing to prevent Trump, she would be rewarded for a long and illustrious career of public service that ended in the most unjust way possible for reasons mostly beyond her control. It’s not simply about being better than Trump, it’s the symbolism of rewarding the first alternative to Trump who lost mostly because of bad timing and (possibly sexist) double standards in the media regarding her “scandals” compared to Trump.

The fact that Biden won barely doing better than her despite everything vindicates her and proves she did not really lose for being a bad candidate, as far as I’m concerned.

Biden should make it possible to undo medals of freedom and take them away from Rush Limbaugh and Trump's co-conspirators.

Already has one, but anyway Clinton was one of the most powerful and respected political figures, so she will probably get one

I didn’t realize she was already president and actively supported the traitors!

She is more like Fremont in this scenario. You gonna call him a loser too and blame him for failing to stop the secessionists because he lost in 1856?

As noted he already has one but I wouldn’t be upset if he got another.

Personally, I would do it to trigger the cons.

No, the first thing that he should do is take the oath of office, since he can't legally execute the powers or duties of the office (including the power to award the Medal of Freedom) until he's done so.
