This CBS reporter is just flat-out tearing into Kevin McCarthy.  

He genuinely sounds rattled.  That's quite rare in a politician -- people who build their foundations on sounding confident and always sounding like they have the answers.

He and a few other of the Congressmen with military experience helped to barricade the floor and secure all of their colleagues and calm them

One of my brothers has field medic experience. The pic where Crow is comforting Susan Wild looked a lot like the sort of thing my brother was taught to do in training.

When I see footage of that lady-protestor who was shot in the chest and is bleeding out, part of me definitely wants to jump through the screen and start administering aid.  Blood is blood, a wounded human is a wounded human.  

But there's definitely a "play stupid games..." side to it.  And I don't feel good about that.
