lmfao @ caring that much about golf

He cares about real estate. Hosting the PGA gives him an excuse to overcharge for  the associated facilities that the gullible might swallow.

I also understand the fear of Social Media regulating world leaders, but what choice did they have? Twitter has been bending over backwards trying not to ban Trump for months. They had to draw the line somewhere, and that line was armed insurrection contributing in at least 5 deaths.

Armed stormings have been planned at every state capitol, as well as four consecutive days of armed protests at the US Capitol, per the FBI.

God help us.

Could be angry conservatives dumping Twitter stock. I also think there's fear of individual countries attempting to regulate Twitter after Merkel's statement.

Those fears seems overblown for now. As long as Twitter doesn't make it a habit of banning the personal accounts of world leaders, the heat should die down.

LOL, so now Trump has criminal exposure in NYC, Atlanta, and DC?  Great jury pools for him in all three.

All locations need to have massive police and National Guard personnel.
With guns and with permission to use them to protect themselves and their fellow officers.

I think everyone who was within 30 feet of the murder and acting like a mob should be charged.  They were committing a dangerous felony and someone got killed.  This seems to be the exact reason we have felony murder statutes everywhere.

They are damned if they do and damned if they don't
If they try to regulate the speech of world leaders they will be accused of censorship or being anti first amendment

but if they don't do anything Trump could tweet something that ends up getting more people hurt during Biden inauguration and the Social Media platforms will get the blame for not doing anything to stop it.....

Amazing how much action Facebook is now taking just days after Democrats gain unified control of government.  Stunning coincidence.

You spelled "days after Trump supporters stormed the capitol and attempted to overturn the election" wrong

No I didn't.  Facebook could care less about Trump's evil deeds or the harm he has done to the Government.  They only care about the business consequences which will now occur because Dems are in charge.

I mean there's a reason why Caesar had 46 assassins but only 21 stab wounds Tongue

Gaynor was Senate-confirmed 81-8 so hopefully he's not too much of a nut.

A FEMA alum takes over DHS while we're on the brink of a civil war.

If this turns into a bloody mess then I at least hope it will be the thing that finally discredits Trumpism once and for all.

2 Capitol Police officers suspended and another individual arrested for their alleged roles in riot

Quote
(CNN) -- Two Capitol Police officers have been suspended and another individual has been arrested for their alleged roles in the riot at the US Capitol on January 6, said Rep. Tim Ryan.

"There were two people suspended. One was the selfie officer and another was an officer who had put a MAGA hat on and started directing some people around," said Ryan, an Ohio Democrat who is chair of the House subcommittee handling the investigation into the response to the insurrection. "It was the interim chief who determined that to be qualifying for immediate suspension."

Ryan had fewer details about the individual who was arrested, and was not sure if the person was a police officer or a member of the National Guard. He told reporters he would have more details later.

He added that there are approximately 10 to 15 Capitol Police officers under investigation for their behavior during the riot but did not have more specifics.
