Joe Manchin is now the 51st Democratic vote in the closest US Trifecta ever at a pivotal time in our history.

Has Joe Manchin just become one of the most powerful men in America?

2nd most powerful, POTUS (Biden) still ranks above. But Schumer isn't far behind then.

Mostly, although I assume he'll join some unofficial moderate coalition with Sinema, Collins, Murkowski and Romney.

How about we give a couple million dollars to West Virginia so he votes with us on all non-coal, non-cultural issues.

Well, I expect the next three federal budgets to have a lot more funding for West Virgina at minimum.

In two years' time West Virginia will become the most developed and economically diverse state in the Union, rivaling the Persian Gulf states in ostentatious luxury

Am I correct in saying that during the Democratic trifecta he wasn't often the first to rebel/protest; my understanding is that he isn't going to be pulling a Lieberman or Lincoln on the Democrats?

Good question.

Democrats loved moderate Republicans like McCain sabotaging Trump’s agenda and hailed them as “heroes” for the bipartisanship, I wonder how they will react to a conservative Democrat like Manchin weakening most of their agenda and aligning with republicans.

Manchin is already talking about bipartisanship on Twitter lol

don't forget Tester, and take Romney of that list. Romeny will vote like your average republican now. He was never moderate, just establishmentarian and anti-Trump.
