So democrats actually won control over the senate, albeit by the smallest of margins. This begs the question of what happens to the filibuster. Surely the republicans will just filibuster *everything* unless it is removed, but does the democrats actually have the votes to remove it?

I don't think so, not yet, but they will decide that the filibuster doesn't apply to the admission of new states.

I could see trashing the whole thing get on the table by 2022 if Republicans obstruct everything, especially if the Douglass senators are super progressive and Feinstein is replaced by a progressive, but it would take every Democratic vote other than Manchin's unless PR is admitted and elects anti-filibuster Democrats as well.
