Hi all, I've done spreadsheets for the detailed London Mayor results here if anyone's interested:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1yY_SeYrmtNZ27hfv-9iDYR9i1UgZedlLdl_eqfKjinw/edit#gid=62436521

Thanks

This is great and in a useful format, but I don’t think the postals have been allocated to it.

These are the three maps for the mayoral, assembly member and assembly list votes with reallocated postal votes. The assembly maps represent a more 'generic' London map than the very odd looking mayoral one.

To answer my own question that I asked a while back, if it hasn't already been answered, according to Wikipedia there are 10 regional authority mayors in England and Labour hold 8 of them.  These 10 regional authorities combine to a population of around 22.5 million.

That doesn't really explain Kensington though, as whilst he did underperform in North Kensington, he actually overperformed Labour's assembly vote in South Kensington (as was typical in posh areas).
That one is easy, Bailey is from North Kensington, they won't vote Tory in Council/General elections there, but they will vote for Mayor that guy they knew from round the corner back in the day

Local coalition situation:

County Councils:

Cambridgeshire: Tory => Lab-Lib Dem-Ind
Notts: Tory/Mans Ind => Tory majority
Oxfordshire: Tory/Ind => Lib Dem/Lab/Green

metropolitans:

Bolton: Con minority with Lib Dem/UKIP/Ind support => same minus Libs
Dudley: Tory minority => Tory majority
Sheffield: Lab majority => Lab/Green

Unitaries:

Bristol: Lab majority => Lab minority
Cornwall: Lib Dem/Ind => Tory majority
Durham: Lab majority => Tory/Lib Dem/Green/Ind (lol)
Hartlepool: Tory/Ind Union/Veterans => same, minus the veterans party
Isle of Wight: Tory => Independent/Green/Island Independents/Our Island/Lib Dem/Labour/Vectis Party coalition
Northumberland: Tory minority => Tory majority
Milton Keynes: government is pretty similar but Lib Dems moved from external support for Labour to formal partners
Plymouth: Lab => Tory minority
Portsmouth: Lib Dem minority => Lib Dem minority with Labour/Progressive Portsmouth People support
Southampton: Lab => Tory

districts:

Not going to through them all, but the Labour led councils that were flipped to Tory include Gloucester, Pendle, Basingstoke, Basildon, Nuneaton, Amber Valley, Cannock Chase, Colchester and Harlow. In addition Labour lost their majorities in Rossendale and West Lancashire. lib Dems lost Maidstone, Tories lost Tandridge and Tunbridge Wells.

Labour are doing really badly in the South tbh.

As easily 'explained' as it might be, blue Feltham and Heston next to red Twickenham and Brentford and Isleworth is still striking.

Durham: Lab majority => Tory/Lib Dem/Green/Ind (lol)

This is even more ridiculous than it looks at first because there are multiple independent groups. And because all of the groups in question (except for the Tories, and even then not entirely) largely exist in order to complain that their particular patch is ignored and does not get the attention and £££ that it rightfully deserves etc.

In other words if local government were still powerful then there would be reasons to be very concerned about what might be about to happen. As it is it will still presumably be a messy embarrassment. Might be funny watching them try to pass a budget though.
