If not already posted, does anybody have the list of these Republicans?

What would you do with such a list?

Well you have everyone who signed onto the Texas brief who will be in the next Congress.

Beyond that, we don't have an advance list and we'll find out on the Sixth.

I'm actually more interested in the Republicans that aren't on the list.  You know, those Republicans who still believe in democracy.

Use it as a reference point to make sure you never support them in any way, and to actively seek out candidates to support in those districts to replace them.

But suppose that doesn't work. And suppose a subsequent effort to steal a presidential election actually succeeds. What would democrats/liberals be justified in doing to those who sought to impose authoritarian rule? I'm asking, because we need to stop beating around the bush and make it absolutely clear to Republicans what their behavior constitutes. Essentially, it's a declaration of war.

In America being against democracy isn’t a crime, and the dem leadership doesn’t seem to know how to respond to it anyway. If there is treason against a legitimately elected United States government (be they democrats, republicans, or whigs), The constitution has that covered. If they make overt threats against any elected officials, our laws has that covered. The issue is Trump has broke the idea that no one is above the law and republicans have run with it cause they know they can.

No, no it doesn't. Not without a supermajority of the Senate. It's essentially impossible to hold a president accountable for anything without the support of approximately a third of his/her party.

Nope. Republicans can just pardon their co-conspirators, as they often do.

Yeah, you're just echoing my point. Republicans believe anyone affiliated with their party is for all intents and purposes above the law. Which will eventually end in disaster. But those of us on the center/left need to stop prevaricating about what a successful GOP coup would engender. Republicans need to understand that the response would be swift, and incredibly violent. Would fully grasping the implications of their current effort dissuade them? Maybe not. But we're not doing them any favors by trying to elide the consequences.

Pray long and hard that a majority of these 140 congresspeople ONLY signed on because they are in the minority and know it will not be successful. Also pray that they are doing so because they feel it would protect their seats from being taken over by actual MAGA cultists who would install Trump in power regardless of electoral outcomes without any hesitation when the house of representatives is actually under Republican control.
