Georgia Sen. Jon Ossoff is looking for a running mate.

He is young, Southern, moderate Democrat. Does he reinforce with another moderate or does he add balance by picking a POC, a Midwesterner, a general?

Hey Jon

A journalist who occupies the wishy-washy Warren lane is a weak candidate to start with. Ossoff, frankly, would be wasting resources trying to run a Rust-Belt-centric campaign, and should instead pick a more experienced running mate who woos the suburbanites. Shoring up Mexican-Americans is important. Catherine Cortez-Masto is a good pick for both. If Ruben Gallego had more experience, he would 100% be it. Tammy Duckworth would also be good.

Why? MI/PA/WI would be in play, even Ohio or Iowa would be valuable states to appeal in. What about Ron Kind, Tim Ryan, Sherrod Brown, Andy Beshear, Jason Kander or Cheri Bustos?

Ossoff is Jewish, he would need a Baptist or Protestant running mate.....someone from the Midwest or West....

Ossoff would need national security experience. He graduated from Georgetown Univ. Foreign Service in 2009 and in 2013 graduated from the London School of Economics.

He has the pedigree of an upper class Southerner....attended a private school.

He would need to balance his upper class upbringing by picking someone blue collar, like Bustos or Ryan or even a general like Anthony Zinni, who could bring in blue collar votes.

An Ossoff-Buttigieg ticket would be too educated for America.
