So many Atlasians feel entirely disconnected from this country. They feel abandoned, and they feel as if this country has left them behind. One way we can bring them into this great Atlasian fabric, to make them feel included in the modern world, and make it so our economy is not a winner-take-all one, is through quite literally connecting them to centers of commerce in Lincoln, and hopefully develop new boom towns where ghost towns had once been. Fortunately through LincolnRail, we have an opportunity to do that. I propose doubling the amount of planned rail lines to include several new lines that would run through rural Maine, industrial Ohio, south Indiana, and northern Michigan. Let us bring this country together, and let us allow the fruits of prosperity to extend to all.

When I ran for this office I promised to fight for new rail development, and today I begin that fight.

All of these new routes seem logical and all of them connect important cities to each other, I see no issues with this.

For the use of the council, here are approximations of the proposed routes (The sponsor may object to the routings if he wishes to, but this is what I came up with based on the details in the bill).

These are pointless routes that serve very small cities over very long distances and would be a massive waste of government spending.

This game has too many NUMTOTs and Train Nerds who can't accept the vastly superior economics of air travel. HSR has no business case in America outside of Northeast Corridor and California. And the exorbitant cost of the California HSR is proof of how weak of a business case it possesses.

Are there any suggestions for adjustments to the routes?

Okay so I honestly concur with some of ASV's thoughts, so my suggestions per each route

#1: Send it to Indy (to connect with the main route) and/or Cincinatti. Another suggestion is to run the route through the 3 C's, and then to the Mahoning Valley and have an eastern terminus in either Pittsburgh or Buffalo (by Erie). If you want to keep Appalachian access, I'd run it through Athens and then have the eastern terminus in Cleveland.

#2: No reason not to move this like 10 miles to Concord and Portland

#3: This looks fine

#4: Extend it south to have the southern terminus in Philadelphia and/or move it west to grab Syracuse

Note these suggestions are just that suggestions and I still plan on supporting the bill if they aren't added, but we will likely spend a lot on this and I think these suggestions make it a bit more efficient.

I have adjusted the route after discussions with Chancellor S019
