Sousa's "The Stars and Stripes Forever", followed by any of the military hymns (particularly "Anchors Aweigh").

If you mean pop-culture songs, I'd have to say "God Bless America" by Irving Berlin.

Just for kicks, how about "Freedom isn't Free" from Team America?

I was just blaring the English national anthem out of my window. The people at the little festival thing outside weren't to happy. Wink

God Bless the USA
Lee Greenwood

If tomorrow all the things were gone I'd worked for all my life, And I had to start again with just my children and my wife, I'd thank my lucky stars to be living here today, 'Cause the flag still stands for freedom and they can't take that away.

I'm proud to be an American where at least I know I'm free, And I won't forget the men who died who gave that right to me, And I gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today, 'Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land God Bless the U.S.A.

From the lakes of Minnesota to the hills of Tennessee, Across the plains of Texas from sea to shining sea. From Detroit down to Houston and New York to L.A., There's pride in every American heart and it's time we stand and say:

I'm proud to be an American where at least I know I'm free, And I won't forget the men who died who gave that right to me, And I gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today, 'Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land God Bless the U.S.A.

It's title is indeed "God Bless the USA"

But, as much as I like Greenwood's song, I gotta go with "Boss" Springsteen's "Born in the USA"

American the Beautiful - The Ray Charles version, preferably, but any version is good.

BTW... The Star Spangled Banner = worst National Anthem in the world

How is that a July 4th song? Have you ever looked at the lyrics? It's really not a patriotic song at all.

What, anybody who has problems with the Administration needs to get out of the country? Springsteen is more American then George W. Bush.

All of the above, plus Elton John's "Philadelphia Freedom."  Ok, so it's not really a 4th of July song, but it does have a few good points in it.  Smiley

Born in the USA is not patriotic at all.  Have you ever listened to the words?
