Long post for the people interested in the tiny details of the new government: the parties finished giving out their roles to their MKs.

Roles in Labor:
Merav Michaeli- Transportation Minister, Chairwoman of the Gender Equality Cabinet, member of the Security Cabinet
Omer Bar Lev- Internal Security Minister, member of the Security Cabinet
Nachman Shai (#8 on the list, didn't enter the Knesset, would've entered anyway because another Minister would resign as MK)- Diaspora Minister
MK Emily Moati- Chairwoman of the Foreign Relations Subcommittee in the Foreign and Defense Committee, Deputy Speaker of the Knesset, representative of the Knesset in the European Council
MK Gilad Kariv- Chairman of the Constitution, Law and Justice Knesset Committee
MK Ram Shefa- Chairman of the Party Caucus, Chairman of the Knesset Committee for drugs, alcohol and addictions
MK Ibtisam Mara'ana- Chairwoman of the Committee for Foreign Workers

Yesh Atid roles:
Yair Lapid- Foreign Minister, Replacement PM
Orna Barbivai- Economy Minister
Meir Cohen- Welfare and Labor Minister
Karin Elharar- Energy Minister
Merav Cohen- Social Equality Minister
Yoel Razvozov- Tourism Minister
Elazar Stern- Intelligence Minister
Mikki Levy- Speaker of the Knesset
Merav Ben Ari- Internal Security Committee Chairwoman
Idan Roll- Deputy Foreign Minister

Yoav Segelovich- Deputy Internal Security Minister

Yamina roles:
Naftali Bennet- Prime Minister, Settlement Minister (for now)
Ayelet Shaked- Home Minister
Matan Kahana- Religious Affairs Minister
Abir Kara- Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's office
Idit Silman- Chairwoman of the Health Committee
Nir Orbach- Caucus Chairman and Knesset Committee Chairman

KL roles:
Benny Gantz- Defense Minister
Pnina Tamano Shata- Immigration and Integration Minister
Hili Trooper- Sports and Culture Minister
Innovation and Science Minister- Orit Farkash
Alon Shuster- Deputy Defense Minister
Michael Biton- Economy Committee Minister
Eitan Ginsburg- Caucus Chairman and Deputy Knesset Speaker
Yael Ron Ben Moshe- Public Inquiries Committee Chairwoman

New Hope roles:
Gideon Sa'ar- Depute Prime Minister and Justice Minister, after two years Foreign Minister

Avigdor Lieberman- Finance Minister
Hamad Amar- Minister in the Finance Ministry

I don't see any changes to the ministries from last weeks reports at first glace - is there anything I am missing that has changed? Eight female ministers, one Arab minister (Frej), one Ethiopian-Israeli minister (Tamano-Shata), there will be a Shaked->Sa'ar->Lapid->Bennett circular rotation if things survive 2 years, Lieberman has treasury, and Gantz in Defense.

It is certainly a strange day for those on the left to look forward to the swearing-in of Naftali Bennett. When is the vote expected?

Some Ra’am nobody is threatening to vote against, this might require some acrobatics by Ta’al. Suspicious conduct by the police around demolitions in the Negev today.

I’m old enough to remember 1990. It would be hard to see the confidence vote fail.

Would be hilarious if the entire Bibi bloc got ejected and the confidence vote passed like 60-6-1.

I read a bit. There was an intensive turmoil and screams that prevented Bennet from finishing his speech, Minister Gallant from Likud said he "never saw a thing like this". Religious Zionism people led the screaming and attacks at first, Smotrich was removed from the hall. Then Likud MKs and Ministers joined.

Electing a new speaker atm. Confidence votes follow

I feel Gantz isn't finished politically. He will have 3-4 years as defense minister, 2 without Bibi above him. He might still surprise us

Edit: we have a new Speaker, MK Miki Levi (Yesh Attid). He will now run the confidence vote

Corrected.

Ta'al and Odeh ended up voting against after they saw Al-Haroumi (Ra'am) abstained
