Televangelist Pat Robertson, one of President Trump’s staunchest backers, on Monday described Trump as “very erratic,” called on him to accept that President-elect Joe Biden won and said the Republican should not consider running again in 2024.

The comments marked a sharp turnaround for Robertson, who recently voiced support for Trump’s false claims of widespread voter fraud and declared before the election that God had told him Trump was going to win.

“I think it’s a sideshow,” Robertson said Monday on his television show, “The 700 Club,” when asked whether he thinks Trump should run again in 2024. “I think it would be a mistake. My money would be on [former United Nations ambassador] Nikki Haley; I think she’d make a tremendous candidate for the Republican Party.”

Pat Robertson has his limits, and if he sees Donald Trump as a menace to the future of conservative causes and the economic Right, he will cast that person off.

Trump is not a conservative; he is not a moral person; he is simply a Santa Claus-and-Easter Bunny Christian.

Many Republicans don't actually love Trump but see him as a useful idiot to advance their policy goals. Now that he is no longer useful, we get to watch them kick him to the curb. It's interesting that Robertson supports Haley though, if the conservative movement does get behind her maybe she could actually be a formidable candidate after all. Still, Haley probably needed Trump to lose by a lot more.

This is actually really bad! The opposite always happens with everything Roberston says. This means that Trump will never concede and end up running in 2024.

In all seriousness though, you know 2020 was a nutty year when Pat Robertson is a voice of reason.
