Not that Scott would have objected necessarily but do try to get public feedback from the sponsor before calling for amendment objections.

At some point I really need to get more up to speed on the ins and outs of rent policy/zoning and the like, it really is a place I have only the most basic of knowledge of.

From what I have come to understand is that a lot nimby zoning laws in many areas are a culprit behind the high price tags. Rent control just seems to treat the symptom rather than the problem itself.

What is the preferred structure for an alternative home program, or is that going to be pursued separately?

Is it currently legal for landlords to deny tenant applications because of housing voucher status? That could be something to address here.

Bumping this question.

As things stand now (ie after the Blair amendment), the home program would be pursued in a separate bill? This will would only deal with discrimination in access to housing, but not necesarily build any more units.

Of course we could always bring the part Blair took away back.

That should only be done if their is appetite to resolve the disagreements within a reasonable time frame though.

This is gonna be one of those votes huh

We love the 2-1-1-2 votes

My vote was based on the fact that like most bills written by Jessica there’s parts of it that don’t really add up when I looked at it before voting (I had removed the obviously glaring stuff)

The work requirement to be classed as ‘needy’ struck me as something that I should have removed

I have similar concerns here.

I forgot to change my vote bc of the elections, so technically this passed.

This is gonna be one of those votes huh

The hilarious part of this is now any further fixes depend on Ted's veto or redraft. more like "one of those bills".
