This is what I mean when I say Democrats can't do anything right.

Given that Iowa is now a Safe R state, this might very well be the approach which the Democratic Party adopts for the 2024 election.

Nah, they should try just one more time! They should focus on kitchen-table issues and explain what the New Deal and Fair Deal really are. Those swingy Ernst-Blum-Trump-Grassley-Blum-Reynolds-Blum-Trump-Ernst-Hinson voters might finally come back!

If 2024 is a worse environment for Democrats than 2020, then they could lose Iowa by double digits.

I think that was sarcasm.

It certainly was. The Democratic nominee in 2024 will lose Iowa by double digits, no doubt about it. We can discuss those """"low-propensity"""" Trumpists until the cows come home, but those people aren't going to stop voting for no reason (I'm talking about those who voted in 2016/2020 but didn't in 2018).

They beat Trump and you all are trying to steal it so I'd say Democrats can do plenty right.

I supported Biden. But seriously, elections should not be that hard to run. Not just this, but look at New York.

I know that it was sarcasm. I was responding by laying out the reality of what will happen.

The problem was the Iowa caucuses themselves, and ultimately they barely mattered.

The Iowa Democratic Party is pretty incompetent, all things considered.

So not only was the DNC's demand for a technological miracle with no realistic timeframe the root cause, but the fact that they refused to be interviewed in the audit because of the general all but shows that they knew they'd f**ked it up & just didn't care.

Too reminiscent of how they screwed up during the Hillary campaign by not listening to the people on the ground & putting too much reliance on tech they didn't grasp. They really just aren't that good at their jobs.

The DNC is incompetent and refuses to listen to the people they need to the most? I can't believe it! I'm shocked!

You can remove the Iowa part and your sentence still is correct.

Any app distributed to thousands of low-tech volunteers without training or a dry run is going to fail.
