Because Trump was the dream canidate for most of the Republican base

Someone who is..
-racist
-anti-immigrant
-sexist
-anti blac... eh I mean "inner city'
-pro-police brutallty
-anti war
-anti international organzations
-anti globalism
-didn't talk much about LGBT
- not beholden to wall street (ha)
-says the right things about cutting taxes, abortion, and judges

The media beltway thinks the base wanted someone like Kasich or Romney when they didn't
