Rick Scott, Donald Trump

We're naming terrible people who are also Florida residents, right?

I think if Trump doesn’t run and at least two of DeSantis, Scott, and Hawley runs, we probably get Cruz, Rubio, or Haley as the nominee. I would say Cotton but that seems a bit far.

is a bunch of hype. If he wins Florida governor 2022, he can't run for President. If he loses in 2022, that'll be a pretty bad mark on him and he won't make it past the primaries.

I have a feeling the dude may be overrated. He's great on paper. But so was Rubio and many others. And we know how he ended up.

Which means he'll abandon his governorship to run for president? Sounds unlikely. If he runs, it'll be 2028 or 2032. The guy's only 40 years old, he has time.

Isn't he term-limited in 2026 anyway? I mean, he doesn't have to abandon his governorship. Governors run for president all the time, and if they don't get the nomination or the presidency, they just go back to running their state.

Bush left his governorship in 2000.

Fair point. I still don't see it as likely but you're right, technically, it's possible.
