Overall, turnout in blue states tend to be better than in red states. Here's how electoral votes would be appointed if it came down to the number of people who voted by state:



Note that the only Trump states to gain EVs were within 10% this cycle. The only blue states that lost were CA, IL, and NY.

Pretty clear that Democrats have the higher-propensity base now. Could be good news for 2022.

Democratic states having a higher turnout in a high-turnout election is not proof that Democrats have a higher-propensity base. Ecological fallacy aside, by definition a high-turnout election is one where both high- and low-propensity voters vote.
