People are assuming that Democrats will continue to struggle with Cubans. They might, but it's not a given.

They are only going more in the direction of Communism, if anything democrats will continue to lose ground with Cubans.

Going in the direction of communism? But I thought we were already extreme communists? Huh

Haven't started building the re-education camps for "racists" and "reactionaries" in North Dakota yet. Haven't instituted a one-child policy to stop the hurricanes and the oceans from rising yet. There is yet a long way for the American Communist Party to go.

See you in North Dakota, then! They have sh**tty winters, but the college hockey is really good.

No state has had a consistent trend in one direction; even states like MI, AZ, and GA have bounced back and forth a little bit. It makes it challenging to know whether FL will actually continue to trend rightwards, if it will stagnate, or if it'll bounce back a bit; still have to give the GOP a slight edge, but likely R is very premature in my view, especially this far out.

FL has actually trended R in every election since 2000, barring 2012

because it's inelastic and polarized. Florida has like no bellwether counties and has voted very consistently for some time now.

It's wave insurance it's not a tipping pt state, the D's have the 291/247, we are done with the days of huge landslides, as 2020, taught us, 278/334 are likely gonna be the typical EC math. Not 1964/1992/1996/2008/2012

TX is likely R state in 2024, we aren't gonna get any 413 maps, be serious. As we saw in this election, people under 30 don't vote, just like with the Floyd protests, not the youngsters voted. As we see in GA Runoffs, 30 and older are voting

Besides high Cuban support the Florida Republicans also benefit from internal migration, especially after COVID. It seems like every day I hear about more Republicans or Republican leaners leaving states like New York and California for Florida and Texas. As long as Florida and Texas have the reputation of being major states run by Republicans they'll constantly pick up new Republican voters with zero effort whereas the Democrats would have to actually win some big elections (particularly the governorship) to reverse the tide.

Florida has always been a lean R state as long as I paid attention to elections.

It seems that the Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville, and Tallahassee areas, are getting bluer.

Is that correct?

But the democrats are falling short South Florida.

Don't forget Ben Nelson was D's wave insurance for FL I. 2006/2012 he lost in 2018, narrowly and now Rick Scott is in that seat, that's why Ds are having a hard to flip it, but Rick Scott is an easier 🎯 to flip FL back blue since he only won barely than Marco Rubio
