Trump reportedly considers to fire William Barr. Looks like even he isn't a big enough hack now.

Trump's really collapsing in his final days in office, isn't he?

The illusion is collapsing, yes. There never was any real substance to him. It was always lies and rot, top to bottom.

"Et tu, Barr?"

You know what this kinda remains me of? When Himmler, Hitler's "most loyal" underling, betrayed him towards the end, so Adolf went nuts about it in his bunker.

Truly amazing if Trump fires TWO AGs for not being corrupt enough or kissing his ass enough.

I have to agree with this sentiment:

Absolutely!

I'm actually rooting for Trump here. Do it! Fire the cretin! Show him what a bad idea it is to ever be loyal to you and how that loyalty is not mutual!

It doesn't even matter since Barr would be gone next month anyway. That almost makes it even more embarrassing for Trump's (soon to be former.) capo.

Yeah, he's firing an AG that only has 59 days left, sack him already, we already have FBI agents that serve as Federal Marshalls ready to evict Trump on D Day and his own Federal Marshalls will arrest him in FL if NY state wants Trump in NY for prosecution

It's like how Trump has fired Fox News for not being deplorable enough.

I think Trump's pardoning of Michael Flynn (and likely Paul Manafort and George Papadopoulos in the coming weeks) and commutation of Roger Stone's prison sentence has proven that in certain cases, loyalty can be mutual.

It depends on how recent the demonstrations of loyalty are. For instance Barr's constant fealty of the past clearly didn't matter because Trump can't think further than an hour ahead.

I hope he does. It'll be an incredibly fitting and perfect humiliation for both of them.

It's delicious to see the GOP tear itself apart like this. Too bad America has to be the proxy victim of their shenanigans.

What’s really sad and pathetic is that Trump’s fans are so loyal, yet Trump has no problem throwing his loyal fans under the bus—because, in Trump’s world, one can never be loyal enough.  We have seen this with Sessions and now maybe with Barr.  Yet Trump’s millions of sheep will continue worshipping their holy orange man, until he chews and spits them out.  Even then, maybe they’d still worship him, who knows.

Barr Is Said to Be Weighing Whether to Leave Before Trump’s Term Ends
Quote
By leaving early, Mr. Barr could avoid a confrontation with the president over his refusal to advance Mr. Trump's efforts to rewrite the election results.

Mr. Barr's departure would also deprive the president of a cabinet officer who has wielded the power of the Justice Department more deeply in service of a president's political agenda than any attorney general in a half-century. Conversely, it would please some Trump allies, who have called for Mr. Barr to step down over his refusal to wade further into Mr. Trump's efforts to overturn the election outcome.

Mr. Barr has not made a final decision, and the prospect of him staying on through Jan. 20 remains a possibility, the people familiar with his thinking cautioned. Should Mr. Barr step down before the end of the Trump administration, the deputy attorney general, Jeffrey A. Rosen, would be expected to lead the Justice Department until President-elect Joseph R. Biden Jr. is sworn in.

No big surprise. Barr accepting that there was no major voter fraud in the election has clearly made Trump furious. And (as anyone whose head has not been throughly buried in bushes the last four years will see) when Trump is furious, he must fire someone - as the deeply narcissist CEO/TV-star Trump is on the bottom.

So if Trump only hires the best people, then which one of them is wrong here?

Trump or Barr?

If Barr has any decency left, he should immediately resign. I wouldn't allow myself to be mocked by this clown on Twitter.
