Montenegro and Serbia have expelled each other's ambassadors over a historical dispute dating back more than a century.

Serbian ambassador to Montenegro, Vladimir Bozovic, described a decision by Montenegrin authorities in 1918 to unify with Serbia as a "liberation".

He was accused of "interfering in Montenegro's internal affairs" and given 72 hours to leave the country.

Montenegro's ambassador to Serbia, Tarzan Milosevic, was also expelled.

Milo's people have been voted out the PM office for the first time in 30 years, it's only natural he is going to pull something on his way out the Govt.

Won't be an issue for long tho, the new Government is taking over soon.

I once encountered a Montenegrin customs officer called "Sandra".

Sandra is a pretty common name in the Balkans, surprised to hear it's weird in the West

It's not weird... it's very "common". It's like almost "Karen"-esque.

Serbia has withdrawn the expulsion, saying that even though it is standard procedure under the Vienna Convention, "life" is more important.
