Trump becomes incapacitated after testing positive to COVID and the 25th amendment is enacted. Pence becomes acting POTUS but the RNC selects Bill Weld to become R nominee.

Who wins? Discuss with maps.

I suspect there would be a third-party/independent “true conservative” candidate, who I suspect would be Pence, Cruz, or Rubio.

Fmr. Vice President Joe Biden (D-DE) / Senator Kamala Harris (D-CA) ✓
Fmr. Governor Bill Weld (R-MA) / Senator Mitt Romney (R-UT)

The Republicans know they'll lose, and so their ticket is more of a statement on where they want the party to go in the future.

It's fun to imagine such things, in a masochistic way, but really the R vote is split and Biden wins more states than OTL.
