I’m glad we have the freedom to be extrajudicially assassinated for unionizing now.

That's not an assassination... oh wait. Sorry. My mistake-- I took leftist hyperbole seriously.

Sorry, I meant the more apt term of extrajudicial execution for conducting themselves in a manner consistent with constitutional rights. Rights that also provide free association.

Amazon employees have willfully forfeited their rights to free association by signing their employment contracts, so that doesn't apply in this instance.

You support the death penalty for contract violations? Huh

No one has been killed for violating a contract. What are you referring to?

lmao no

Oh no! Wait, you're telling me someone forced them into signing those contracts? That's illegal! Who was that person? Tell me; that way we can set things right.

Actually yeah, my bad. The way you two were talking made me think this was about someone being killed while striking, which isn't what that article is about at all.

No worries; I made the same mistake of taking PSOL literally as well.

I didn't realize the Pinkertons even still existed...

I didn’t until they sued Rockstar a few years ago for their portrayal in Red Dead 2.

Are you seriously arguing that employers should be able to require employees to give up the right of free association as a condition of employment? Yes, employers should be able to limit what employees do when they are on the clock, but they shouldn't have any way to limit what they do on their own time.

What's next, are you going to argue that the sacred liberty of contract should allow someone to sell themselves into chattel slavery? </hyperbole>

Reminds me of the non-disclosure agreements Mike Bloomberg ordered written up

Pretty straightforward: if you sign a contract that has an anti-unionization clause, don't unionize.
