Obama, hands down. In 2008 I was 100% optimistic about the future. It may not have lasted, but it was a really euphoric feeling, even for my 16 years old self, after eight years of the Bush administration.

I am also optimistic with Biden winning still, but the mess he is inheriting is so much more of daunting than Obama's inherited mess was and without a trifecta like Obama had it's hard to see how he even manages to put a real, long-lasting dent in it. Undeniably though, the fact that I don't have to think about Trump and his ilk being in the Executive branch anymore as of next January is an absolute positive going forward, in spite of whatever uncertainty I still have about the future.
