From the website of Jim Webb:

WSJ/Zogby: Webb within Margin of Error...  Allen under 50%

George Allen: 48.8%
Jim Webb: 43.5%

In the second major poll released this week, a Zogby Wall St. Journal poll shows Jim Webb within the margin of error in his race against George Allen. This poll is a great indication of the momentum that is building behind Jim. We have a FEC filing deadline coming up, so we need your so please contribute now.

I'd love to believe this, but... Zogby.  I'm gonna wait.

I realize this is a Zogby poll and could be a little closer than the actuality, but recent polls had Webb at 41%.  He could be inching closer.  I'm hoping Zogby will pan out for once.

Ack.  Zogby Interactive.  Please dispose of immediately and burn out of existence.

I like how Zogby also said of this race "Allen continues to poll strongly against Jim Webb". Huh? According to you he is a popular incumbent under 50%! How is that polling strongly? What a moron.

Also Zogby has Brown 13 points ahead of Dewine but Casey less then 7 ahead of Santorum so what does that tell us? Zogby blows.

Right now, I think Allen will win by five, but I'm desperately hoping Webb can continue the momentum over the next four months to close the gap.

Thats pretty much my view on this race. Although I don't trust Zogby, we need some more non-Zogby polls of this race.

As the summer progresses there will be more and more polls of this race.  It's still somewhat early to tell, since the primary was only last week.  The other problem is that, despite being featured in the media from The Washington Post to Time magazine, Webb needs to travel around Virginia some more to get his message out.  Many people don't know enough about him yet.  Once people do, I have a feeling that other polls will begin to reflect the Zogby figure.
