no thanks!

But looking at it strategically...

he... might(?) be able to set up some weird proto-trump coalition if he ran. He's got that same blockhead macho thing going plus he also has a political position. don't think it would make him seriously competitive. but I would've said the same about trump.

I really doubt he even looks at a run, he pretty much dialed in his senate race. if he ran I doubt he'd get anywhere. He might make a blip on the radar in Iowa though.

He's more likely to return to Auburn as Head Coach or replace Nick Saban at Alabama than he is to run for President.

Good candidate to lose Yankee Republicans and allow dems to win back ME-2 and win landslides in the former blue wall states. Against a good Democrat with decent approvals, Tuberville would lose OH and IA.

Trump's base don't want to elect someone who looks and talks like they do, they want a leader who has that twinkle in their eye, that look that says "I'm on your side, but I know more than you do," it's a tight trick to pull off, for sure, playing a certain level of smart to appeal to the dumbs. Few can do it.

You want to come across as 'smart' to stupid people, but not so smart so as to alienate yourself from them entirely. You want to be 'of them' -- not 'above them'. They're your base, after all. Trump can do it, obviously, he's been doing it all his life. Alex Jones can do it too, that's why I think he'd be deadly if he ran for office.

Ted Cruz, maybe, but he's just a little bit too well-spoken to ever lead a Trumpian base. A little bit too well educated. He'll need to dumb it down a lot if he wants to run again. Growing that beard was a good start.

Coach Tuberville and QAnon Congresswoman can't do it, I get the impression they're just genuinely dumb.

Might drag down the GOP ticket in the electorally crucial Lubbock and Cincinnati areas. And Donerail brings up a good point – do we really expect GOP primary voters to support a man who got whipped by UCONN? Let’s be real here.

I would like to see how Tuberville acts as a senator, and what his policies are before I analyze how he might do nationally. He has never been in elected office so he is a wildcard to a certain extent.

A one term Republican Senator isn't going to run for President anytime soon.

I could genuinely see him running, then having a Rick Perry debate moment and getting 2% in the Iowa Straw poll before dropping out.

Apparently if you can explain the difference between the nickel and dime defense that is enough to be a Senator in Alabama.

Big difference is that was 2016 not 2024.
