If he was the republican candidate against Bollier.

Trump's coattails would have probably carried him to a single digit win imo.

Yes. Bollier ended up doing worse than Greg Orman had in 2014, and there was virtually no ticket-splitting whatsoever between the presidential and Senatorial races. I think she would have come closer against Kobach, but he still would have won by ~5% or so.

Yes, by high single digits at least. With the Supreme Court in voters' minds, there was no way Bollier could have beaten Kobach.

Seeing how everything else played out, he likely would have, albeit by a smaller margin than Marshall.

So you know I was looking through 2004 House results and realized the 2004 and 2020, KS House results are almost exactly the same right down to KS-03s margin but with Kobach as the GOP nominee. One big difference though is Bush won KS-03.

Kobach has always been a crappy candidate.

Probably, unless he made a campaign-killing gaffe.

Yes, even worse is that he could have probably been Trump's heir apparent in 2024. So we actually lucked out, even if it still meant that this seat was a loss. Kobach is thankfully irrelevant finally...hopefully.

Yes. Every single poll would've had him down by a lot. The race would get called Lean D by the experts, only for him to go on and win by 5-8. Man, the amount of crap I would get for predicting Kobach winning by 5 in this alternative timeline would've been crazy.

The media purposely hid all the real polls from us and kept showing us internals and BOLLIER competetive in the race and she did the same as Orman
