I have finished MO and PA. All I am missing data for are 2 counties in NY, 1 county in CA, and 23 counties in TX.

So, you have data from all precincts in the US except for those ?

What are the missing counties in NY and CA ?

All counties which have results available, yes (i.e. most counties in KY are not and will never be reporting precinct results this year).

I am missing Sutter County, CA and now down to Oneida County, NY (Chenango, NY was the other, but it was posted today).

How exactly are you handling VA? They don't allocate early/mail-in ballots voting to precincts, IIRC.

This is true of a number of states, not just VA. For my maps, I'll be estimating the distribution of unassigned absentee/early votes to precincts based on a fairly simple algorithm I've devised and tested using results from states which do break down each type of vote (i.e. absentee/early/election day) by precinct (a roughly 30k precinct sample).

That's a very interesting approach. Looking forward to seeing the final map.

Just waiting on Oneida County, NY and Sutter County, CA...

Did you contact KY if they can convert their county results into precinct results ?

Why did they stop producing precinct results this time ?

I was able to get "precinct" results or at least ballot face results for about 30 or so counties in KY, including Jefferson and Fayette. The other counties I contacted said they could not provide detailed data. The reason is that they moved from using individual polling places for each precinct to countywide voting centers due to COVID, and they didn't print the voter's precinct on the ballot, so they have no way of telling them apart.

That makes sense.

Here in Austria, it would also make no sense to create a precinct map, because there’s no maps for those and they frequently change between elections (or get merged or dissolved).

But our 2.100 municipalities are comparable to US precincts anyway in a sense.

No need for the 11.000 or so precincts (except for big cities, where they are available).

My map is complete. I will post it tomorrow morning after I do a few last minute touch-ups and export the files.

Only Banana Republics amend their election results repeatedly 6 months after election day.

NY = Banana Republic.

What are the methods that people are using to estimate the precinct results in states where the absentee ballots are counted separately?
