So, now that the election is basically over, and we are crunching through the final numbers, and pretty much every State is called, although tons of votes still floating around waiting to be counted, canvassed, certified, etc, time to create a resource for folks that want to try to locate precinct results.

This is Atlas / Talk Elections and what we do, so this is intended as a resource for all Atlasians, to make precinct level data accessible to the broadest possible audience.

I did something similar for the 2018 GE and created a comprehensive list of where Atlas Posters could Access Precinct Level Results:

Will anyone do maps for these later?  Also municipal breakdowns in some would be interesting especially ones with large contrasts.  It does seem looking through various and other counties, Trump had blowouts in rural portions making a lot of counties look redder than they really are.  Urban cores almost everywhere went for Biden and suburbs usually went for Biden, but some went to Trump.  However even in states where suburbs traditionally voted to right of rural areas, that was almost never the case this time around.  Indianapolis and Milwaukee suburbs used to be as recently as Obama era the GOP's best showing in state, now they are voting to left of most rural counties.

It's a bit clunky right now (I seemed to recall in the past they had a map interface, but maybe that isn't coming until later).

Iowa? I want my Trump +29/Greenfield +2 #populist  Purple heart precinct.

You will have to wait...  Sad

Iowa will likely dump an entire precinct report all at once after they certify results.   Smiley

While you are waiting in eager anticipation, you could always entertain yourself by reviewing the 2018 Iowa Precinct reports or even delve in and do some compare contrast work via 2016 Iowa Precinct numbers.   Wink

California: 55/58 Counties Reporting:

Current State of California:

1/7/21: Adding Mariposa County

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1/4/21 Update: Added Inyo County

12/26/20: Update- Added Kern County

12/12/20 Update- Added Butte, El Dorado, Glenn, Lassen, Santa Barbara, Tehama, Ventura Counties.

12/7/20 Update- Added Calaveras, Contra Costa, Fresno, Humboldt, Imperial, Kings, Lake, Los Angeles, Madera, Mendocino, Monterey, Napa, Placer, Plumas, Riverside, San Benito, San Bernardino, San Diego, San Joaquin, San Luis Obispo, Santa Cruz, Sierra, Siskiyou, Solano, Stanislaus, Trinity, Tulare, Tuolumne, Yuba Counties.

11/21/20 Update- Added Alameda, Alpine, Amador, Merced, Modoc. Mono, Nevada, San Mateo, Shasta, & Yolo-

Note California unfortunately does not have a centralized precinct reporting system, and I recall even back in the 2018 GE, I was still missing official precinct results for (3) counties, which I had to unofficially obtain elsewhere. (Some geeks actually pay $ for counties that don't post data, or pester the local County elections office enough that some clerk just emails the files out to get rid of the constant requests)   Wink

Lmk when you get lycoming county pennsylvania. It swung towards Biden by 2.9, and Hillary lost Williamsport by 3.8

So I am trying to see if Biden edged it out this time

Thanks cg41386!

I have updated the directory at the top of the thread I created for States which do not do comprehensive "one source" Statewide numbers, to link to your post above.  (As you are likely well aware PA is one such state.   Sad  )

As we add additional counties for PA, I can either create a new post to update as county level precinct results trickle in, or you can continue to update...

Either way, thanks for pulling these together!!!

Added Arizona to the master directory at the top of the thread.

*** Standard disclaimer--- precinct results are unofficial until certified, State data might lag county data, not all counties are listed for all States, etc...

California: 11/14/20-  Counties with Precinct data currently available:

Again there are still being votes counted, canvassed, certified even in small CA Counties, so I would be cautious about using precinct data for areas with significant amounts of votes outstanding at this point.

Let's just start with a few of the largest Counties, since I don't want to go through all (58) counties at this point.

Marin County:   Typical ENR Engine... click on results by precinct on the right of the webpage.

https://results.enr.clarityelections.com/CA/Marin/107124/web.264614/#/summary

Merced County:  Typical ENR Engine... click on results by precinct on the right of the webpage.

https://results.enr.clarityelections.com/CA/Merced/107145/web.264614/#/summary

Orange County:

Basically a PDF and 1st post election night update.

https://ocfelections.com/webapps/results/Unofficial%20Election%20Results%20Precinct.pdf

Sacramento County:

Click on Precinct Results towards the bottom of the page

https://results.saccounty.net/resultsSW.aspx?type=PRES&map=MPRC&shape=Nov2020

San Francisco:

Click on Statement of Vote and Excel and you get prelim precinct results for the City!

https://sfelections.sfgov.org/november-3-2020-election-results-detailed-reports

Santa Clara:

One of my favorite counties in CA for elections reporting, because they update daily, plus they got that groovy precinct map!

Another modified ENR engine, but you can always just jump over to the left and nab your precinct results in whatever preferred file format you want!

https://results.enr.clarityelections.com/CA/Santa_Clara/106043/web.264614/#/summary

Sonoma County:  ENR Engine, you should know the drill by now for heisting your precinct #s.

https://results.enr.clarityelections.com/CA/Sonoma/107135/web.264614/#/summary

There are probably some counties I'm missing since I didn't go through every single county yet, knowing how CA precinct results typically roll in, so why waste tons of time at this point.

For Orange County, there was somewhere they gave breakdown by municipality.  Do you know which site that is?  Realize not final but still good rough estimate.

For Travis county and Dallas county, they only give precinct numbers, not name of municipalities, do you know which number range is Dallas and which number range is Austin?  Also be interesting in both if anybody knows which municipalities Trump won.  Also El Paso would be interesting too.

Texas: 11/18/20 Update- 10/254 Counties

Adding a few of the largest counties just for starters. (I'll keep adding to the list. Back in 2018 I believe I was only able to track down about 50% of the Counties in Texas for official online precinct results)

To paraphrase a Gary Nunn song: "you can ask me what I hate about Texas... it's the precincts lines Statewide. Everything between the Sabine and Rio Grande.... you ask me what I love about Texas, and I can be here all.... night...long"

Cameron County:

Collin County:

Scroll down and click on the Statement of Votes Cast at the bottom of the page.
I would post the full URL, but it would blow up the size of the Atlas Page.

Dallas County:

Travis County is a bit tricky for multiple reasons:

1.) Their precincts are non-sequential, meaning it's not quite as simple as just providing a precinct
     range.

2.) The official report for 2020 appears to amalgamate precincts, which in the 2016 GE had alpha coding after the numeric precinct number, meaning that Municipal results appear in quite a few cases to be consolidated with unincorporated areas, making it tricky to get an accurate number (Hopefully they will remedy the situation at some point).

For example precinct 402 appears to include 402a (Non-Austin), 402b (Austin), and 402c (Non-Austin), whereas in my 2016 GE spreadsheet they are broken out individually.

3.) I can check the 2020 GE numbers against my 2016 spreadsheet when I get off of work Tonight in more detail, but it's gonna be a bit ugly having to code Austin, vs Uninc, vs Other Municipalities in the present form in which the 2020 data is presented.

4.) It is possible that in some cases Uninc areas might have been absorbed by the City between '16 and '20, meaning that my precinct coding from '16 might have to be revised.

5.) One way of trying to crunch the numbers to parse out precincts completely outside of Austin City Limits, would be to eliminate any precinct which does not have any votes for City of Austin Propositions A & B in the 2020 GE.

6.) The next step would probably be to look at precincts where there is a major variance between the topline PRES numbers vs votes for Props A & B and move them into a hypothetical Austin Split-Precinct category.

7.) I'll have to check to see if I have a Dallas County Texas spreadsheet floating around somewhere in my collection, and if not one might need to be created from scratch using again using a mixture of either/or/and votes for Municipal Elections, County/City precinct maps, etc.

Will anyone do maps for these later?

I am making a national map again this cycle, as with last time. I'm waiting for official certified results, though, as updating last time was a big pain.

11/19/20 Updates:

Added Michigan to the list of statewide updates...

*** Note that this page links to the individual County websites and then navigating around might be a paint in the royal arse, and not only counties will not always or even being inconsistent in providing precinct level data. Way back in '18, I was going County by County and ended up only bagging 78/79  out of 83 County results, even before there was a statewide link like this, so at least it gives y'all somewhat of a one source shopping expedition the roundabout way ***

Added New Mexico to the list of Statewide Updates upthread!

*** This basically uses the same type of election reporting engine that Oregon uses, so click on the type of Election, such as Federal, scroll down to your content (hypothetically President and Vice President of the United States, click on County results, and then scroll then to look at the County you are interesting at looking at and then click on "precinct results" --- and then boom cha-ching.   Smiley  ***

Utah: Added (6) Counties to the Utah post upthread, and update the DIR for States which only report precinct results at counties levels.

11/20/20 Update:

Added Delaware to the list of States reporting results by precinct via a centralized web site. They are called "Election Districts" so it threw me off initially.

Added Minnesota... you have to scroll all the way down and then select your county, then press go, and a list of precincts will pop up on the left. At least you can select multiple precincts simultaneously which can save some time...
